Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is still getting great feedback from fans of Jujutsu Kaisen and manga readers alike, mostly because it’s a well-crafted story. Even without familiar faces like Gojo and Sukuna, the series keeps things interesting with new characters, unique cursed techniques, and thrilling fights. It also expands on the Jujutsu world in a really impressive way, showing us parts we’ve never seen before.
I’m totally hooked on Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo! Fifteen chapters are out now, and each one is dropping fascinating hints about Yuta Okkotsu, and especially about Maki Zenin’s kids, Yuka and Tsurugi. We’re also learning so much about the Simurians and getting updates on what’s happening with characters like Yuji and Nobara. Everyone’s buzzing about what’s next, especially since it was announced as a shorter series, and we’re all wondering just how many chapters Modulo will have in total as we head into chapter 16!
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Gets a Six-Month Run
JJK Modulo Is Just a Short Manga Series
- Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo will run for half a year.
- JJK Modulo is a fixed short-term manga series.
I watched as the story of Jujutsu Kaisen unfolded, following Yuji Itadori’s journey as a sorcerer burdened with the incredibly powerful curse user, Sukuna, inside him. Along with his allies, like the skilled Gojo Satoru, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, Yuji managed to defeat a series of formidable villains – including Sukuna, Mahito, and the mastermind Kenjaku – ultimately bringing the central conflict of the series to a really exciting close.
Following the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen, creator Gege Akutami launched Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, with Yuji Iwasaki (Cipher Academy) providing the artwork. The first chapter debuted on September 7, 2025, and spanned 54 pages, introducing rich backstory about the Simurians—powerful alien sorcerers led by Maru, Cross, and Dabura. This new series doesn’t follow Yuji Itadori; instead, it centers on the siblings Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu.

Okay, so here’s the deal with JJK Modulo – it’s not going to be one of those super long manga series, and that’s something fans need to know upfront. It’s been announced as a shorter, fixed-length story. Basically, we’re looking at around six months, tops, which honestly, I think is great! It means the story will be really focused and the action will be non-stop. While there’s a chance it could go longer – maybe past 100 chapters – that depends on what Gege Akutami decides, but we shouldn’t count on it. It’s designed to be a tight, self-contained story, and I’m totally okay with that!
JJK Modulo Will Have Three Volumes
JJK Modulo Set to Release Between 20 and 30 Chapters
As previously shared, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is planned to run for about six months, with around three volumes expected. Starting in September 2025, the series is currently estimated to conclude around February 2026, finishing Yuka and Tsurugi’s story as intended. These three volumes should contain approximately 20 to 30 chapters – enough for a complete and exciting story that doesn’t feel drawn out.
Looking back at the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga, the first three volumes had 25 chapters. If the new series, JJK Modulo, follows a similar pattern, we can anticipate around 25 chapters across its first three volumes as well. With 15 chapters already released and a publishing schedule of about six months between releases, JJK Modulo is likely to have between 20 and 30 chapters in total. Given the positive reception to the series, fans would be thrilled if it continued beyond that!
JJK Modulo continues to release new chapters every week, with Chapter 16 arriving as expected and keeping the story moving forward. The latest installment featured a surprising turn of events: Yuka Okkotsu summoned Mahoraga during her battle with Dabura.
JJK Modulo May Serve as a Prequel to a New JJK Project
Image by Rei Penber/ Game Rant The conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen received criticism for feeling too fast-paced, leaving many fans disappointed. The ending raised more questions than it answered about the story and characters. However, the release of JJK Modulo offered hope that these new chapters would provide more clarity and expand the world of the series, which was previously focused on Japan.
People are really enjoying JJK Modulo, and its success might lead to more JJK projects in the future. Modulo seems to be building a foundation for what could be a lot more stories within the expansive JJK universe – it could be just the start!
