While Sukuna initially won a battle between the two, he was ultimately defeated by Yuji Itadori, the person he possessed.

During the battle against Sukuna, Yuji Itadori discovered hidden abilities, and he’s become significantly more powerful since then. In the current storyline of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Yuji has clearly exceeded Sukuna’s strength. Now, 69 years in the future, Yuji has even learned to use Sukuna’s techniques himself, solidifying his place as the new strongest sorcerer. While Yuji has only hinted at his full power so far, he’ll soon have the chance to demonstrate it fully in an upcoming fight against Dabura in JJK Modulo.

A significant part of his strength comes from the unusual circumstances of his birth. Sukuna has the largest amount of Cursed Energy in the entire series, surpassing even characters like Yuta Okkotsu and Gojo Satoru. This is because he absorbed his twin brother while still in the womb, effectively doubling his cursed energy capacity.

He surprisingly managed to turn Sukuna’s own techniques against him, specifically the Shrine technique, but with a unique variation. Instead of just slashing, Yuji now attacks like a pair of scissors. He even combined this new ability with his soul-hitting power, creating a devastating attack called Soul Dismantle. Ultimately, it was this soul-cutting attack, followed by a Black Flash, that defeated Sukuna.

For a long time in Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji Itadori felt like a fairly ordinary character, especially compared to powerful figures like Gojo and Sukuna. However, everything changed after his intense fight with Sukuna. Now, 68 years later, Yuji has become incredibly powerful and fearsome.

Many believe Dabura is an even more dangerous opponent than those Yuji faced before.
