Jujutsu Kaisen Ended Last Year With Chapter 271

The Shinjuku Showdown Arc Was Finally Concluded

The “Jujutsu Kaisen” manga series gained immense popularity worldwide, even outperforming the sales of “One Piece” for several years, an impressive accomplishment given the competitive nature of the manga market.

Last year, around late 2024, the popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen concluded its run. Although the journey was exhilarating until the very end, some viewers felt that the conclusion seemed rather hurried. This is because certain plotlines, like the Merger, were left unresolved or completely abandoned as Gege brought the story to a close.

After the manga has concluded, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating just one thing: the highly-anticipated third season of Jujutsu Kaisen. However, due to confirmation that it won’t be released this year, fans may have to wait a bit longer than anticipated. Nonetheless, when it finally arrives, it promises to be spectacular.

Gege Akutami Drops a New Message About His Manga’s Ending

  • Gege Fell Very Ill Near JJK’s End
  • Gege’s Message For Oda Was Revealed During One Piece Day

A multitude of enthusiasts were taken aback by an unexpected novelty from the mind of Jujutsu Kaisen’s author, Gege Akutami, on the day dedicated to One Piece.

To put it simply, One Piece Day is a special occasion dedicated entirely to the world of One Piece, where major announcements are made. Interestingly, Gege played a significant role in this year’s event.

In simple terms, Gege skillfully created captivating artworks for five elderly characters from the series One Piece, often referred to as the Elders. Each artwork is exquisite and meticulously detailed.

Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that the creator of JJK, Gege, shared an important piece of information with fans. This revelation indicates that Gege was extremely unwell during the final stages of the manga’s serialization. This sheds light on why the manga seemed to conclude rather hastily.

Gratefully, Gege found himself in need of assistance, which fortunately came from Oda. He kindly suggested an excellent hospital to Gege. In essence, these recent sketches can be seen as a gesture of gratitude from Gege towards Oda.

Here’s Gege’s full statement:

Near the conclusion of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, I unfortunately became sick and found myself in a very difficult position. Generously, Oda-sensei helped me find a hospital. Once I had fully recovered and finished the series, I wanted to show my appreciation but struggled to find an appropriate gift. After much thought, I decided to reciprocate his kindness through my own work.

Preferred section: It was delightful to illustrate Saint Nusjuro. Upon receiving the color guidelines for the five figures, I was taken aback, yet the experience of organizing colors outside my usual choices felt invigorating.
