Chapter 23 of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is coming soon, and the story is clearly nearing its conclusion. In the last chapter, Maru and Yuji met in the afterlife, where they faced off against Mahito. They managed to take the power of Idle Transfiguration from him, along with Maru’s pure Mul and Yuta Okkotsu’s ring. Combining these elements will give them the means to permanently defeat cursed spirits.

I’m anticipating that chapter 23 of JJK Modulo will continue directly from the last scene and introduce a world free of cursed spirits. It looks like we’re finally going to get some answers about the long-running battle between Dabura and Mahoraga. Since Dabura has already expanded his domain, I think this fight is reaching its climax, and chapter 23 might actually be where it concludes.

Vengeful Spirits Could Still Exist In The JJK World

Chapter 23 of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo will likely center around completely eliminating cursed spirits. The previous chapter laid the groundwork for a plan to do just that, outlining two possible methods for Maru and Yuji to achieve this permanent removal of cursed spirits.

  1. The first one would require all Japanese people to be rid of cursed energy once and for all.
  2. The second way would require all Japanese people to be turned into sorcerers and learn to optimize cursed energy.

Yuji Itadori initially wanted to eliminate cursed energy from all sorcerers. However, Maru clarified that he would only remove it from ordinary people and future generations of Simurians, not existing sorcerers. The plan seemed to be progressing smoothly, but then Yuji revealed a critical problem: even removing all cursed energy from everyone in Japan wouldn’t completely eliminate cursed spirits.

They cling to negative emotions, return as spirits seeking revenge, and are thus born as Vengeful Spirits. Naoya Zenin is a perfect example – Maki nearly killed him, he was then stabbed, and quickly returned as a Vengeful Spirit.

If most people were relieved of cursed energy, but some groups like the Simurians and human sorcerers retained it, their deaths could create vengeful spirits in Japan, causing trouble. Furthermore, individuals outside of Japan also possess cursed energy, meaning cursed spirits could still emerge in other parts of the world.

Cursed Spirits haven’t been fully defeated, and more work is needed to eliminate them. In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 23, Yuji Itadori and Maru might develop a brand new plan to finally destroy them.

The Endgame Of JJK Modulo Begins

If Maru and Yuji find a way to defeat all cursed spirits, the next chapter of JJK Modulo will likely show Maru using Idle Transfiguration across all of Japan. This event has been foreshadowed and is expected to happen soon.

Maru possesses a vast amount of cursed energy, largely thanks to Yuta Okkotsu, enabling him to enact this plan. Utilizing the ring and his connection to Mul, Maru can cast Idle Transfiguration across all of Japan, affecting both humans and Simurians. This process will completely remove their cursed energy, preventing the birth of any new cursed spirits. This represents the final stage of the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo arc, as previously established.

From the beginning, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo was planned as a brief story spanning about three volumes. Now that it’s nearing its conclusion, eliminating cursed energy and resolving a major issue facing Japan would be a fitting ending. This would pave the way for humans and Simurians to coexist peacefully.

Dabura Vs Mahoraga Will Officially End In JJK Modulo Chapter 23

The Biggest Battle Of Jujutsu Kaisen Sequel

The recent manga chapter didn’t show much of the fight between Dabura and Mahoraga, but the upcoming JJK Modulo Chapter 23 might finally show progress. Currently, Dabura has expanded his domain, and Mahoraga is struggling to adjust to being inside it. From here, there are only two likely outcomes. Either Dabura will defeat Mahoraga quickly in the next chapter, or Maru and Yuji will attempt to eliminate Cursed Energy from everyone in Japan, including all sorcerers. If they succeed, Mahoraga would disappear immediately, and Dabura would also lose his power. This would end the battle and save Yuka Okkotsu’s life. Either way, JJK Modulo Chapter 23 has the potential to conclude this thrilling fight.

Honestly, what I love about this current arc isn’t the action – it’s how everyone’s working together and just living alongside each other. Gege Akutami has really knocked it out of the park with JJK Modulo – I think it might actually be even better than the main series! It’s easily a highlight of the whole JJK story, maybe the best part. We’re getting close to the end, with only a few chapters left, and I’m just hoping we can savor every moment. And get this – chapters 23, 24, and 25 are going to have full-color spreads because it’s been so popular in Japan! I’m not sure if Modulo will go on past that, but honestly, the future of the Jujutsu Kaisen universe looks amazing no matter what.
