Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Has Just Introduced The Fastest Sorcerer Of All Time

The announcement of a sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen thrilled fans, who were eager to see what happened to the world and the practice of Jujutsu after the original story ended. Modulo, the sequel, offered a fresh look at this popular universe, expanding it with the introduction of aliens and a wider scope beyond what fans were used to.

This new installment of Jujutsu Kaisen is a fantastic addition, introducing incredibly powerful sorcerers and unique abilities. One standout is Dabura, who’s established as the strongest of the Simurians, and recent developments suggest he might also be the fastest sorcerer we’ve seen yet. Let’s explore the reasons why.

Dabura’s Cursed Technique And Unmatched Speed

The Strongest Simurian

  • The reason for his speed.

I’ve been following Modulo closely, and right from the beginning, Dabura was set up as a seriously dangerous opponent! Everyone kept dropping hints that his power was comparable to the absolute strongest magic users in the whole series – we’re talking Sukuna and Gojo level! It felt like the story was building him up to be the only other character who could even approach their strength, which was incredibly exciting.

Fans were understandably eager to learn about the source of his immense power, which turned out to be a Cursed Technique involving ‘(…)’ and Light. This technique seemingly grants him complete control over light, enabling him to create devastatingly powerful beams capable of instantly destroying anything they touch.

I need someone to fight before I can demonstrate my abilities. And if they aren’t strong enough, the battle will be over quickly – they won’t even know what happened.

He effectively used this technique against Mahoraga, repeatedly causing massive damage by blasting off limbs and even trapping it with bars of light. While Dabura initially dominated the fight, he couldn’t deliver a finishing blow like Sukuna or Gojo, giving Mahoraga the chance to adjust to his Light-based attacks and retaliate with significant force.

Near the end of chapter 18, Dabura was pushed to his absolute limit, appearing defeated. But he rallied, finding strength in his determination to protect his people. The chapter concluded with a hint that Dabura was fighting at incredible speeds, almost the speed of light.

The dance of Dabura Karaba… near the speed of light, beyond the limits of humanity!

This suggests the story will soon introduce a sorcerer who might be even quicker than the incredibly fast Sukuna and Gojo. Considering they’re already the fastest characters in the series, it would be exciting to see someone surpass them.

Because Dabura can control light, many fans thought he was already incredibly fast, but his physical body couldn’t keep up – until now. The upcoming chapters of Modulo promise exciting conclusions to the battles between Yuki and Dabura, and between Tsurugi and Maru.

What’s Next For The Fights In Modulo?

The Fate Of Earth

Latest Chapter Chapter 17, “Chaos and Harmony”

At the beginning of the Modulo story, the central idea was whether humans and Simurians – refugees from a civil war – could live together peacefully. For a while, it seemed possible, but a serious misunderstanding resulted in Maru’s brother, Cross, being shot and falling into a coma.

That’s when things really kicked off – the actual war between humans and the Simurians began, a fight to decide who would truly own Earth. Without Yuji around, we had to rely on our most powerful sorcerer, Yuka Okkotsu. She stepped up big time, unleashing her incredible Ten Shadows Cursed Technique and immediately summoned the terrifying Mahoraga! It was an amazing, but scary, sight to see.

Tsurugi and Maru joined the battle for the same reason, fighting alongside each other. However, Tsurugi’s abilities were noticeably weaker than Maru’s, whose cursed technique was incredibly powerful and seemed to distort reality. To overcome this challenge, Tsurugi activated Rika using a ring from Yuta, and was then able to defeat his opponent.

Okay, so these fights are huge! We’re talking the Okkotsu siblings going up against the strongest Simurians, and they’re getting help from some seriously powerful characters within the entire Jujutsu Kaisen universe. What’s really interesting about the Simurians, though, is that even when it looks like Dabura and Maru are totally trapped, they always have another trick up their sleeve! It’s a really clever twist that keeps you guessing.

After a near-fatal battle with Mahoraga, Dabura has discovered a new determination and is training to surpass even Sukuna and Gojo as the fastest sorcerer. Many fans speculate that his secret technique – essentially turning murderous intent into a physical force – will be what allows him to quickly defeat the Shikigami. It’s also possible he’s been subtly using this technique throughout the fight already.

In the last part of Chapter 18, Maru was defeated by Tsurugi and Rika, which caused him to unleash a previously unseen ability – he created a forest with vines surrounding him. While this seems like a hint of even greater power to come, some fans believe it might be an ‘Open Domain’ technique, though that’s probably not the case.

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
