Fans recently learned a lot more about the original main character, and one detail especially stood out: he’s now considered the ‘Strongest.’ According to creator Gege Akutami, Yuji Itadori is officially the strongest character in the future timeline of Jujutsu Kaisen. This title is given to him years after the battle against Sukuna and the death of Gojo Satoru.
New Character Information In Modulo Volume 3 Also Classifies Yuji As A Special Grade Sorcerer
Recent updates in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume 3 confirm that Yuji Itadori has officially been recognized as a Special Grade Sorcerer. This makes him the fifth character to achieve this powerful ranking, joining Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuki Tsukumo.
Considering the incredible abilities Yuji Itadori demonstrated in the Shinjuku Showdown, especially during his fight with Sukuna, it’s clear he’s reached Special Grade status. All Cursed Techniques And Abilities Of Adult Yuji In Modulo
I recently read Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Vol. 3, and Gege Akutami revealed some interesting details about Yuji Itadori. It seems that consuming the Death Paintings during the timeskip – between the Culling Game and the Shinjuku Showdown – is the reason for Yuji’s incredible longevity. Specifically, he ate Death Paintings 4 through 9, and this has fundamentally changed his body, making him part human and part cursed spirit. As a result, he doesn’t age at the same rate as normal people, which confirms why he’s considered so powerful and officially ranks as a sorcerer.

Just to clarify, Yuji isn’t immortal—he simply ages at a much slower rate. The manga, specifically chapter 25 of JJK Modulo, confirms he’s expected to live for around 300 years. Beyond his extended lifespan, Yuji also gained the ability to control blood after consuming the Death Paintings. He first demonstrated this power in chapter 19 of JJK Modulo, and he wields it with incredible precision.
Yuji has fully mastered the Shrine technique, allowing him to unleash incredibly powerful attacks, as seen in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter 20. Over time, he’s also gained exceptional control over his cursed energy, learning skills like Reverse Cursed Technique and barrier techniques. He can utilize the New Shadow Style and has even developed a Domain Expansion. As an adult, Yuji Itadori has become a remarkably complete and powerful sorcerer, rightfully earning the title of ‘Strongest’ in the current era.
