In the dangerous world of Jujutsu Kaisen, survival demands strength and resourcefulness. Characters often rely on weapons to escape tough spots, while others dedicate themselves to mastering their skills.
While most Jujutsu Kaisen fighters use weapons, a few exceptional individuals rely only on their cursed techniques and natural strength. Though they’re less common, these fighters are incredibly powerful. Here’s a look at the strongest ones who don’t use weapons.
This post contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen.
7. Aoi Todo
Armed With Dangerous Cursed Technique So Never Needed To Use Weapons
Aoi Todo is a powerful sorcerer and a student at Kyoto Jujutsu High. He’s naturally incredibly strong, giving him a significant advantage over many characters in Jujutsu Kaisen – he can often win fights relying on his physical strength alone, without needing to use cursed energy.
Todo is incredibly strong, and when that’s not enough, he can use his Boogie Woogie technique to quickly change the situation to his advantage. He’s also able to use Black Flash, a powerful attack that easily defeats many cursed spirits. Surprisingly, despite having so many strong abilities, Todo rarely uses them. However, losing his hand might force him to start relying on his powers more often.
6. Itadori Yuji
Relies On His Physical Abilities More
Yuji Itadori is the central character in Jujutsu Kaisen and usually takes center stage. He unexpectedly became involved in the world of sorcery when he ate a piece of the powerful curse, Sukuna. This gave him incredible power, but also made him a danger to others. The leaders at Jujutsu High initially wanted to eliminate him, but Gojo Satoru intervened and saved his life.
Yuji quickly started training and learned how to control his cursed energy. He briefly used a weapon, but it didn’t last. Now, he mainly depends on his physical strength and speed. He’s also become skilled in the Black Flash technique, which proved crucial in his fight against Mahito during the Shibuya incident.
5. Gojo Satoru
Strongest Sorcerer In The World
Image via MAPPA. Gojo Satoru is widely considered the most powerful sorcerer alive. He’s incredibly strong, and very few opponents can match him in a fight. His abilities, Limitless and Six Eyes, are exceptionally powerful. Six Eyes specifically allows Gojo to maintain an endless supply of cursed energy, meaning he could theoretically outlast any opponent.
Limitless allows Gojo Satoru to freely control and warp space, which explains why he rarely uses weapons in battle. If he did use them, they would simply enhance his already immense power.
4. Mahito
Could Kill After Touching His Opponent
Mahito posed a huge danger to people because of his unique cursed technique, Idle Transfiguration. This ability allowed him to completely alter people’s souls, and he frequently used it to turn them into mindless curses.
Mahito was an exceptionally powerful curse, stronger and faster than almost any human or other curse. What made him particularly dangerous was his ability to use a special technique called domain expansion. When he activated it, he gained a direct connection to the souls of anyone caught inside, letting him reshape them with ease.
3. Yuki Tsukumo
A Special Grade Sorcerer
Yuki Tsukumo is incredibly powerful – one of only a few sorcerers at her level. Despite being so strong, she’s not boastful, but she’s also not afraid to say what she thinks.
Yuki Tsukumo is a highly skilled fighter with a brilliant mind, making her a formidable opponent. She has a large reserve of cursed energy, allowing her to fight for a long time without tiring. Because she’s so well-rounded, she doesn’t need to rely on weapons.
2. Kinji Hakari
Has A Special Kind Of Cursed Energy
Okay, so Kinji Hakari is this seriously unique third-year at Jujutsu High – he actually got suspended for being, well, a bit of a wild card! But he didn’t just sit around, he started running a fight club for sorcerers looking to make some cash. We haven’t actually seen him fight in the anime yet, but Yuta Okkotsu straight-up said Hakari is stronger than him! It’s got everyone wondering if Yuta was just hyping him up, or if he’s genuinely that powerful. I’m so hyped to finally see Hakari in action and find out!
I’ve been watching Kinji Hakari closely, and it’s clear he relies entirely on his cursed energy and raw physical power to win fights. He doesn’t use any weapons at all – it’s just him and his abilities. Plus, he’s also got a domain he can use, which adds another layer to his fighting style.
1. Kenjaku
An Ancient Sorcerer With A Ton Of Experience
Kenjaku is the primary antagonist of the Culling Game storyline. He’s an incredibly experienced sorcerer, having lived for centuries, making him a formidable opponent in battle. To maintain his existence, Kenjaku transfers his consciousness into new bodies, and is currently inhabiting the body of Suguru Geto.
I’ve been observing Kenjaku, and it’s clear he’s incredibly powerful. He can use everything Geto could, including manipulating cursed spirits. Beyond that, he’s a skilled fighter up close, and surprisingly fast and durable. Honestly, he seems like a really tough opponent, and defeating him won’t be easy at all.
