As a seasoned gamer and a die-hard Jujutsu Kaisen fan, I’ve been through the highs and lows of this captivating series. From the moment I first laid eyes on Itadori Yuji, I knew this wasn’t just another anime; it was a journey that would enthrall me for years to come.

The post contains spoilers for
Jujutsu Kaisen’s
Shibuya Incident arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen, a widely acclaimed manga series, experienced a significant surge in popularity following its highly successful initial season. After wrapping up the first season, numerous enthusiasts rushed to read the manga, eagerly anticipating what new adventures awaited them next.

2024 saw the long-anticipated release of the second season of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” which brought to life the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident storylines. This season was packed with intense battles and boasted greater peaks overall, positioning it as a serious contender for the top anime of that year. More recently, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has teased an extraordinary project.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Mystery Project

Jujutsu Kaisen Teases An Unbelievable Project
  • A new movie
  • Or something similar to My Hero Academia

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but buzz with anticipation about the upcoming news regarding the next project in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. With no official details yet, the community is abuzz with speculation. Some think it might be a movie adaptation of one of the novels, delving into the lives of our beloved side characters. Others are hoping for an original storyline that would offer more screen time to our favorite heroes. Either way, the excitement is palpable!

Gege Akutami and other team members responsible for the project would be prudent to prepare a well-thought-out announcement, especially considering that My Hero Academia previously hinted at a significant undertaking, only for fans to feel let down upon learning more about it. Jujutsu Kaisen should strive to learn from its fellow Shonen series and avoid making the same mistake of overhyping a project without delivering on expectations.

As the manga’s climactic fight approaches, there are numerous potential outcomes. There’s even a possibility that a new series could be announced, much like some other shows have done previously. Given the immense popularity of Jujutsu Kaisen worldwide, it seems logical for Gege Akutami to explore this opportunity and further develop the universe of Jujutsu Kaisen.

What’s Next For Jujutsu Kaisen

A Third Season Of The Anime Is On The Cards

After the manga concludes, we’ll all feel a significant absence, given that it has been running since 2018 and garnered a devoted following throughout. Finding something to fill that void won’t be simple, but fear not, as additional content is on its way – primarily in the form of anime. Shortly after the second season wrapped up, MAPPA didn’t hesitate to announce that they were already working on a third season.

Although an official release date hasn’t been announced yet, it appears likely that the project will come out in late 2025. Given MAPPA’s busy production schedule, however, fans might want to anticipate a possible delay, with potential release dates ranging from early 2025 to mid-2025.

What Will Happen In Season Three

Itadori Yuji Must Defend Himself From His Yuta

Jujutsu Kaisen Teases An Unbelievable Project

In the upcoming season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, it appears that the storyline will encompass the Itadori Extermination Arc, the Perfect Preparation arc, and the Culling Game arc. The Itadori Extermination Arc is set post-Shibuya Incident, where the leadership at Jujutsu High now has free rein due to Gojo Satoru’s sealing away. Despite their initial reluctance towards using Itadori Yuji as a weapon against curses, they will likely see him as a threat now that Satoru is gone and may seek to eliminate him at any cost. The character tasked with ending Yuji’s life is none other than Yuta Okkutsu, who might be unfamiliar to fans who haven’t watched Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Yuta is a skilled fighter who has mastered the power of Rika, a rare and powerful cursed spirit.

I don’t know how I will feel if I am dead, but I don’t want to regret how I lived. —Itadori Yuji

Since Yuta holds full authority over Rika, Yuji Itadori is heading towards serious complications. At this point, he doesn’t stand a chance against Yuta and winning isn’t an option for him. The wisest move for Yuji would be to demonstrate his guiltlessness to Yuta and secure endorsements from others. Once the matter with Yuta is settled, Yuji can then concentrate on aiding Gojo Satoru in escaping the prison realm. As long as Satoru remains imprisoned, cursed spirits will maintain an upper hand.

As I dive into this upcoming season, I’ve got no doubts that it’s going to be packed with electrifying battles – fights that any fan would relish watching. Rest assured, MAPPA’s animation prowess makes the experience nothing short of breathtaking. This studio is a world-class powerhouse, and they’ve done an outstanding job breathing life into the manga. So, here’s to seeing who Yuji’s next opponents will be in the third season; it’s going to be one heck of a ride!

But the big question on everyone’s mind is; will Goju Satoru return to the fray? The white-haired sorcerer has been responsible for increasing the popularity of the show drastically. If he does not return in season 3, there will be more pressure on the other characters to deliver. Luckily, there is no shortage of good characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. They can mostly fill the gap if given the proper chance. Also, the absence of Gojo Satoru will allow the new generation of sorcerers to prove their combative prowess.
