His Lightspeed Kick is still one of the most destructive moves in the whole series! On top of all that, he’s also the most naturally gifted sorcerer in history, making him an unbelievably powerful magic user overall.
3. Gojo’s Birth Changed The Balance Of The World
Cursed Technique: Limitless+Six Eyes
When talking about the most powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Satoru Gojo always comes up. He was unique – the first person in 400 years born with both Six Eyes and Limitless – giving him a mastery of Cursed Energy that no one else could match, effectively putting him in a league of his own.
Gojo’s very existence led to the birth of exceptionally strong Cursed Spirits, as the world requires a natural balance. He was the only one who could even stand against Sukuna, and for most of their battle, he was winning, ultimately becoming Sukuna’s equal. Because of his unique ability, Limitless, and his deep knowledge of jujutsu, it’s highly improbable that Dabura could defeat him.

2. Sukuna Was The King Of Curses For A Reason

The Heian Era in Jujutsu Kaisen was a dangerous time, filled with incredibly powerful Cursed Spirits and sorcerers – everyone had to be strong just to survive. Even among these powerful beings, Sukuna stood above the rest, becoming known as the strongest sorcerer in history.
I watched as Sukuna quickly lived up to his fearsome reputation after being reborn. He effortlessly took down incredibly powerful sorcerers and Cursed Spirits. Eventually, in the later parts of JJK, he faced a real challenge in Gojo. While they were both incredibly strong, Sukuna’s deeper understanding of jujutsu—his grasp of the basics—ended up being the deciding factor. He ultimately defeated Gojo, solidifying his place as the strongest character in the series.
1. Modulo Yuji Is Likely the Strongest Of All Time
Cursed Technique: Multiple
Because Yuji is a Death Painting, he’s essentially immortal, which explained why he was still at his peak when entering Modulo. This was a huge surprise – it turned out Yuji had been in incredible shape and had spent decades perfecting several powerful Cursed Techniques.
It’s important to remember that even Sukuna didn’t have much time to fully develop his abilities. This suggests Yuji has an incredibly high level of control over his Cursed Energy, potentially surpassing anyone we’ve seen before. His ability to consistently use Black Flash, master Piercing Blood, and unleash a devastating Dismantle that easily leveled buildings further supports this. While he hasn’t had many opportunities to demonstrate his power in battle, everything we’ve seen of Yuji in the Modulo arc strongly indicates he’s the strongest character in the series so far.
