Jujutsu Kaisen: Where Exactly Is Megumi Fushiguro in Modulo?

This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.

The anime Jujutsu Kaisen has introduced Yuka Okkotsu, who now wields the powerful Ten Shadows Technique. This has led fans to wonder what happened to the previous user, Megumi Fushiguro. Since the start of the JJK Modulo arc, Megumi hasn’t appeared, while his friends Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki have both returned after a time skip of 62 years.

Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are concerned about what happened to Megumi Fushiguro. The recent sequel has shown two important characters, Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin, dying. Since Megumi is currently missing and another character, Yuka, is now using his powerful Ten Shadows technique, many believe Megumi might be dead in the new storyline, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.

Megumi Fushiguro Has Not Returned in JJK Modulo

Megumi’s Current Status Is Undetermined

Megumi Fushiguro’s powerful Ten Shadows technique is back in the JJK Modulo series, but Megumi himself hasn’t appeared. Fans are speculating about his absence, with many fearing he’s died off-screen, perhaps from illness or old age. Considering the author, Gege Akutami, isn’t afraid to kill off important characters, it’s possible Megumi’s story has already ended.

Unlike Yuji and Nobara, we haven’t received any clear information about Megumi’s current situation. While many fans hope he’s safe, some believe his character arc has reached a natural conclusion and that bringing him back for the next part of the story wouldn’t be the best choice. They feel he’s fulfilled his role in the original series and it might be time for new characters to take center stage.

With aliens now posing a serious threat to Jujutsu sorcerers, fans are worried about Megumi’s quiet behavior, especially when his friends are at risk. He still has ties to Yuka and Yuji Itadori, so his silence is particularly unsettling.

Yuka Okkotsu Replaced Megumi as New Ten Shadows User

Two Ten Shadows Users Can Exist Simultaneously

Jujutsu Kaisen viewers are excited about Yuka Okkotsu after she used the Ten Shadows Technique to summon the incredibly powerful Mahoraga. She risked her life in a desperate battle against Dabura Karaba, and summoning Mahoraga—a technique only possible for Ten Shadows users—brought back memories of Megumi Fushiguro’s first summoning of the difficult-to-control shikigami during Season 2 of the show.

Just because Yuka now wields the Ten Shadows technique in JJK Modulo doesn’t mean Megumi Fushiguro is gone. The story hasn’t confirmed his death, and there’s nothing stopping two people from using the technique at once. Unlike Limitless and the Six Eyes, which are limited to a single user (at least currently), the Ten Shadows doesn’t have that restriction.

Despite the difficult circumstances, fans still believe Megumi might be alive in the current arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. However, it’s unclear if he’s even able to fight, as there’s been no sign of him so far. The most worrying possibility is that he’s already died, and fans will simply have to accept that.

Megumi Could Still Appear in JJK Modulo

As a huge Jujutsu Kaisen fan, it’s been amazing to see some of our favorites – Yuji, Nobara, and Ui Ui – confirmed to be alive and kicking! But honestly, the author has been playing with us a bit. We’ve spotted characters like Gojo, Sukuna, and Mahito popping up in panels, and it’s hard to tell if they’re just there as references, or if it’s a clever trick to throw us off about what’s really going on in the next part of the story. It’s so exciting – and a little frustrating – trying to figure it all out!

There’s still a chance we might see Megumi Fushiguro again in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, possibly through memories, visions, or dreams. Whether he’s still alive will likely determine if Gege Akutami decides to bring him back. However, considering Yuji Itadori is already dealing with the loss of his friends, it’s best not to assume Megumi will return.
