Key Takeaways
- Yuji Itadori gained significant power-ups in his fight against Sukuna
- Gojo Satoru is at a different level of strength compared to Yuji
- While Yuji has potential, he is currently no match for Gojo’s immense power
As a seasoned fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, let me tell you, the power dynamics between our beloved characters are as captivating as the story itself. Gojo, with his Infinity and Six Eyes abilities, is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with, leaving many characters, including Yuji Itadori, in the dust.
In the tale of Jujutsu Kaisen, our main character, Yuji Itadori, has experienced significant growth throughout the recent storyline. Initially, Yuji was nowhere near a formidable sorcerer, but he’s now evolved significantly and managed to overcome Sukuna, the King of Curses – a figure known for being the strongest in history, second only to the most powerful contemporary sorcerer, Gojo.
Of course, fans were always going to compare the current Yuji to Gojo at his peak, and for those who are curious about who is stronger in Jujutsu Kaisen, the answer couldn’t be clearer.
Yuji Itadori’s Performance Against Sukuna
- Yuji Itadori Unlocked Domain Expansion
- Yuji Beat Sukuna
In his confrontation with Sukuna, the King of Curses, Yuji Itadori proved to be extraordinarily formidable. Prior to the fight, he had amassed a significant amount of power enhancements. One crucial power he acquired before facing Sukuna was the Simple Domain. This ability enabled him to safeguard himself against domain expansion and simultaneously lay the groundwork for his own domain expansion. This was undoubtedly one of Yuji Itadori’s most valuable skills. Yet, that was just a fraction of what he could do. By consuming Death Paintings numbers 4 to 9, which were provided by Choso, Yuji gained the ability to manipulate his blood. To make things even more formidable, he also harnessed the power of reverse cursed techniques. This power was further amplified by his Blood Manipulation, reducing the strain it imposed on his own body.
That’s right, Sukuna! I can kill you! – Yuji
In addition to his other abilities, Yuji acquired an extraordinary forbidden skill called Shrine, similar yet distinct from Sukuna’s. This technique proved lethal against Sukuna and inflicted significant damage on all opponents. What made it particularly effective against Sukuna was its capacity to harm his soul. The blows that weakened Sukuna were instrumental in his eventual defeat, although it should be noted that this power may not work the same way on everyone. During the battle with Sukuna, Yuji’s most significant advancement was domain expansion. By extending his own domain, he inflicted heavy damage upon Sukuna. Not only did Yuji disintegrate Sukuna and free Megumi from his possession, but he also struck a powerful Sure-Hit Soul Dismantle on the King of Curses, causing severe injury. It’s clear that Yuji grew immensely during this confrontation, demonstrating the strength expected of a Special Grade Sorcerer.
Gojo’s Peak Strength Compared To Yuji
Gojo Satoru Is On A Different Level Compared To Yuji Itadori
In the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”, it’s widely acknowledged that Gojo Satoru is the most powerful modern sorcerer. During his battle against Sukuna, fans witnessed Gojo at his absolute best, and it’s clear that he stands alone in a class of his own. Even the King of Curses was left astonished by Gojo’s capabilities. Had it not been for Sukuna residing within Megumi’s body and utilizing the 10 Shadows Technique, Gojo would likely have emerged victorious in their fight, though he himself wasn’t completely certain about this. Nonetheless, fans know Gojo as an incredibly powerful combatant. He is renowned for wielding the Limitless technique, a formidable ability that lets him manipulate the space around him. Essentially, Gojo can utilize the force of Blue to attract and the force of Red to repel.
As a gamer, I can say that when it comes to Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo’s abilities are nothing short of game-breaking. He’s got this thing called Purple, a destructive force that sweeps through anything in its path like a digital eraser. It’s his ultimate move, leaving no trace behind.
Don’t get it twisted! You’re the challenger here! – Gojo to Sukuna
Gojo’s Infinity provides an impenetrable shield against attacks. To touch Gojo, one must possess the ability to amplify domains or find another way to bypass this shield. This invincibility stems from Gojo’s unique skill to reverse cursed techniques and destroy/recreate the portion of his brain responsible for manipulating them. In essence, Gojo can regenerate his exhausted cursed abilities with reverse cursed energy, making him truly extraordinary. Additionally, Gojo possesses Six Eyes, enabling him to detect even the tiniest amounts of cursed energy. With Six Eyes, Gojo’s use of cursed energy is virtually negligible, giving the impression that he barely uses any at all. This allows him to open his domain multiple times without running out of energy.
Yuji’s Ultimate Potential In Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuji Has The Potential To Reach Sukuna’s Level
As a gamer, I’ve been following this battle saga closely, and let me tell you, it’s quite evident to me that Gojo outshines Itadori in every way right now. Frankly speaking, Itadori doesn’t seem to possess any move that could touch Gojo. If these two were to engage in a fight, Gojo would wipe the floor with him, dealing no damage whatsoever. Now, Itadori needs to master domain amplification just to have a chance at landing a hit on the Strongest Modern Sorcerer. Even if he did manage that, the gap in their power would still be colossal. That being said, Itadori is far from reaching his full potential. He’s got immense room for growth in the coming years. Interestingly enough, it was hinted in the story that Itadori has the same potential as Sukuna himself. This is because they share the same technique and, at the same time, are related by blood.
It’s possible for Yuji to match Gojo’s level eventually, but it’s highly unlikely that he will surpass him. Right now, Yuji has no chance against Gojo, as his victory over Sukuna was largely due to the King of Curses being severely weakened and Yuji receiving assistance from multiple sorcerers. In fact, Yuji could have easily died numerous times during that battle.
Should JJK eventually have a follow-up series, it’s likely that fans would receive an answer to the lingering question, as well as witness Yuji Itadori’s development within the narrative. For the present moment, Gojo continues to outshine as the more powerful sorcerer between the two characters.
You can read Jujutsu Kaisen through Viz Media, either on the Shonen Jump or Manga Plus app. Fans can access it officially and for free. The next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269, is scheduled to be released on September 15, 2024.
