Julia Garner Unveiled as Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four Trailer!

At last, the moment has come! The extensive trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has been unveiled at long last, exciting fans everywhere. A tantalizing sneak peek into the film’s futuristic setting was previously shared in a teaser, showcasing Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing and his culinary talents. This new trailer offers a wealth of additional insights, such as a crisp view of one of the movie’s antagonists.

So far, teasers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps have mainly offered brief glimpses of Galactus. But this latest trailer doesn’t add to that, instead, it unveils Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In her role as Galactus’s herald, she warns the Fantastic Four (and everyone else) that their planet has been marked for destruction.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer Reveals A Lot More

In addition to other intriguing elements in the first trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps, it also reveals that Sue Storm (played by Vanessa Kirby) is expecting a baby. This development was hinted at earlier, when Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) mentioned that Sue and Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) are “late.” The trailer then follows up on this clue, suggesting that Ben Grimm quickly notices the significance of the moment and realizes a baby is imminent. After Johnny exclaims they’ll be the best uncles ever, he also implies that Reed is struggling to keep up.

This trailer carries a noticeably somber mood compared to its predecessors. It combines the upbeat spirit reminiscent of the ’60s space race era with the ominous presence of Galactus looming over the planet. This duality is mirrored in the portrayal of Sue and Reed, as Sue conveys hope through her lines such as “I am not giving up,” and “we can do this, nothing will change.” Conversely, Reed appears more pessimistic, seeming to shoulder a heavy burden. He admits his guilt by saying, “It’s my fault,” referring to pushing the boundaries of space, which he acknowledges may have had dire consequences. When asked if they are safe by a reporter, Reed hesitates and honestly replies, “I don’t know.

In the trailer for “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” a quick scene is included that has been eagerly anticipated by fans – a glimpse of Reed Richards using his powers. Previous trailers hadn’t revealed any such moments. Additionally, there are more instances showcasing The Thing breaking through concrete pillars. Hints at Sue Storm’s forcefield abilities can be seen, but unfortunately, no scenes yet depict her becoming invisible.

There’s less than three months until the movie premieres, and while details about certain characters, such as the unannounced actor portraying a key character, are yet to be revealed, eager fans will have to wait and find out who Paul Walter Hauser and Natasha Lyonne will play. Additionally, while the identity of the voice actor for the imposing cosmic entity remains unknown, rest assured that they will bring the necessary weight to their role.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters on July 25th.
