As an ardent Battlefield enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement as Publisher EA has officially confirmed that the upcoming Battlefield game will bear the title Battlefield 6! The wait for more details ends this Thursday, July 24, as an official reveal trailer is set to premiere. Last year, EA first hinted at a new Battlefield game with its initial concept art, and since then, snippets from multiple closed playtests have been leaking online. However, now, we know for certain that the shooter will be named Battlefield 6!
As a devoted Battlefield fan, I’m thrilled to share that the anticipation for the upcoming Battlefield game is reaching new heights! Electronic Arts (EA) has finally unveiled the official title of the shooter and set a date for the first reveal trailer. But Although they haven’t specified an exact start date yet, there are whispers that it might begin as soon as next month! If these rumors prove true, we could be in for some more updates with the game’s official reveal trailer later this week. Stay tuned!
Based on whispers about the impending unveil of Battlefield 6, Electronic Arts (EA) has officially announced that the initial trailer for the game will be premiered on Thursday, July 24th at 8 AM Pacific Time / 11 AM Eastern Time / 4 PM British Summer Time. The official Battlefield YouTube channel will air the trailer, and those eager to watch it can do so by tuning in here. At this point, the contents of the trailer remain undisclosed. If an open beta is scheduled as early as August, fans might catch their first glimpse of actual Battlefield 6 gameplay.
Battlefield 6 Reveal Coming This Week
Fans have been waiting nearly four years for a fresh installment of the Battlefield series, especially after the rocky debut of Battlefield 2042 in 2021. Despite DICE’s efforts to enhance the game through post-release updates and modifications, Battlefield 2042 has left a bitter taste in players’ mouths. The game’s new Specialist system, limited weapon selection at launch, missing scoreboards, fewer game modes, bugs, glitches, poor performance, and other issues resulted in one of the most contentious launches for any Battlefield title.

It’s great news that DICE appears to have listened to their fans’ feedback, as they mentioned last year that the upcoming Battlefield game would be influenced by fan favorites like Battlefield 3 and 4. The next installment in the series is set to offer a modern backdrop, and it seems that it will abandon the controversial Specialist feature from Battlefield 2042, according to EA.
As of now, we don’t have a release date for Battlefield 6, but if it comes out later this year, it could compete directly with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. There are whispers that the next Call of Duty game might launch in November, although details will probably be unveiled on August 19. If both games are released this year, it would be the first time since 2021 that a new Battlefield and a new Call of Duty have been launched in the same year.
