In the gripping world of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” I frequently find myself in tough spots, having to make choices that shape my comrades’ destinies. One such moment comes during the Heads Will Roll quest. After taking down Wada Koretake, I’m faced with a decisive choice: let Mitsumune execute the captured castle soldiers or show mercy. The path I choose will influence Yaya’s perception of Naoe.
Should You Choose Justice Must Be Served or Killing Them Isn’t Justice in AC Shadows?
As I progress through the Heads Will Roll main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, I’ll eventually face a crucial decision with Mitsumune. This moment comes up near the end of our adventure, following my successful assassination of Wada Koretake. After the deed is done, we all assemble in the courtyard, and Mitsumune’s men will have taken captive warrior monks among us.
Enraged by the capture, Mitsumune calls for the execution of the soldiers/warrior monks in retaliation for the souls lost at Oda Nobunaga’s hands. However, Yaya tries to persuade Mitsumune, suggesting they refrain from more violence as it serves no purpose.
Ultimately, it will be Naoe’s decision whether to execute the captive monks/soldiers immediately as a swift act of justice, or show mercy and let them live to prevent any more bloodshed.
Justice Must Be Served Outcome (Let Mitsumune Kill Captive Soldiers)
If players opt for “Justice Must Be Served” with Mitsumune, Yaya expresses disapproval towards Naoe’s choice by walking off angrily. Following this, Mitsumune gives a signal to one of his men who then executes the captured warrior monk.
After completing the “Heads Will Roll” mission, you’ll find that Yaya’s quest titled “The Stray Dogs” becomes accessible. Following this, Mitsumune might ask Naoe if she is prepared to observe such violent events, as he walks away.
Killing Them Isn’t Justice Outcome (Ask Mitsumune to Spare Captive Soldiers)
If players opt for “Killing Them Isn’t Justice” with Mitsumune, Yaya will express gratitude for Naoe’s decision and concur that those apprehended should be pardoned. Yet, even after requesting Mitsumune to spare the soldiers, he would give a command for their execution, which includes the warrior monk. The ensuing conversation follows in a similar manner.
Alright, buddy! Choosing this option won’t affect the current mission’s results, but it’ll definitely make Yaya view Naoe in a friendlier light. So, if we’re going for long-term gains and better relationships within our gaming world, this could be the wiser move compared to the other choices.
