Okay, so once I hit Bazaar Rank 3, I headed up to the mountain, and a little scene popped up showing a seal appearing behind that small waterfall near Arata’s place. I went over and interacted with it, and boom! It teleported me right to Kagetsu’s shrine. Now I can find her there whenever I want, which is awesome.

At first, Kagetsu mostly stayed inside her shrine, only venturing out to wander the mountain around midnight. But once you complete her 4-Heart Event, she’ll start exploring town and even go to festivals. This gives you a chance to earn Friendship Points with her by joining in the fun!

Once you’ve met Kagetsu, she can also tell your fortune. Doing so will give you a random, temporary boost to your abilities, and this boost can combine with any benefits you get from eating food. Plus, Kagetsu’s fortune lasts longer than most food buffs, so it’s worth seeking her out!

Kagetsu is a solitary character without any family or friends, meaning the only thing you need to do to progress her story is raise her affection level.

Introduction Event
  • Enter the Kagetsu shrine portal for the first time.
Request: Search for What’s Lost
  • Find Kagetsu’s lost item. It’s to the north of the portal, behind the tree before the upper-mountain lake.
2-Heart Event
  • Pink Marker: Enter Kagetsu’s shrine area while Kagetsu is outside the shrine.
Request: Curiosity About Cooking
  • Gift Kagetsu a total of five of any Side Dish (at least 1-Star quality).
  • Increase cooking quality by using higher-quality materials, or adapt the recipe by adding additional ingredients.

4-Heart Event
  • Pink Marker: Enter the Kagetsu shrine area and speak to Kagetsu.
Request: Carrying Conversations
  • Speak to residents 100 times.
  • You can keep talking to the same person 100 times, including Kagetsu, or let it finish naturally as you go about your days.
6-Heart Event
  • Pink Marker: Enter the Kagetsu shrine area and speak to Kagetsu.
Request: Unconventional Crops
  • Give Kagetsu a giant crop, which can be: turnip, cabbage, pumpkin, tomato, sweet potato, or avocado.
  • Giant crops occur randomly, but you can increase your chances by having the “Watering Rare Crops” buff before watering the crop.
  • The four recipes with this buff are: Onion Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Poke, and Caprese Salad. All from the Salad category.
  • Make sure to remove Sprinklers if you wish to water the crop yourself.
