However, what truly captivated fans was the unexpected involvement of characters we thought we knew well – case in point, Kakashi Hatake, the revered sensei of Team 7, who is infamously known as the Copy Ninja across the ninja world.

Viewers witnessed Kakashi assume a crucial position in the Naruto saga from its inception to its conclusion. Throughout his adventure, he significantly boosted his power, ultimately becoming incredibly mighty. By the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi was already powerful enough to be a Kage; however, events became even more captivating near the end as he developed twin Mangekyo Sharingan and summoned a complete Susanoo.

In their confrontation, Madara took Kakashi’s Mangekyo Sharingan permanently, leaving his old eye healed by Naruto using the Yin-Yang Release.

Initially, it seemed like Kakashi Hatake was meant to be written out of the story entirely by the author of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto. But as events unfolded, Kakashi remained relatively ineffective until Obito Uchiha’s demise. However, a significant twist occurred when Obito passed on his remaining chakra to Kakashi before he departed completely. Could Kakashi Ever Regain The Sharingan?

At the war’s end, Kakashi’s power was unparalleled, outshining Madara Uchiha significantly. He matched Kaguya in might and inflicted substantial damage upon her. However, this extraordinary power didn’t persist. Just after the battle concluded, Kakashi lost his Mangekyo Sharingan power, as was anticipated. This powerful ability was granted to him by Obito as a token of appreciation for becoming the Sixth Hokage, much like how he had given Kakashi his initial Sharingan upon promotion to Jonin. This moment held great significance. Yet, Obito made it clear that this power boost came with an expiration date. It was meant to echo the first time Obito bestowed him with the Sharingan, and it indeed proved to be a memorable occasion. But undeniably, Obito had also mentioned that this enhancement would have a set lifespan.

After Kakashi used the Six Paths chakra he received, his Mangekyo Sharingan disappeared and didn’t come back since Obito is deceased and the chakra expired. It’s unlikely that Kakashi will get this power again in the future. However, after the war, Kakashi significantly increased his strength to a level where he is considered stronger than as the Sixth Hokage compared to when he had only one Mangekyo Sharingan during the war.

It’s likely that the Boruto series might shine more light on Kakashi Hatake in the future, providing fans with a glimpse or two of their cherished Copy Ninja character.
