In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are five side missions related to fishing that you can take on. These tasks are assigned by Kanya from the Scarlet Forest base camp. Each mission becomes accessible at various stages of the game’s story, with players needing to complete the Lurking Shadows section within Chapter 4 to unlock the last one.
In the game ‘Monster Hunter Wilds’, every fishing expedition undertaken by Kanya involves catching just one fish. However, some of these fish prove trickier to reel in compared to others. Locating each fish and knowing the right bait or lure to use can significantly reduce the time spent searching, as well as enhance the chances of success.

As a gamer, I found out that the legendary Goliath Squid is more likely to bite on the Tentacle Jig, but since we’re not at that stage yet, it’s essential to opt for the Tuff Joint Bait if we aim to reel in this colossal squid during the Catch of a Lifetime side mission.
