KCD2: Romance Guide – Missable Character REVEALED!

In the upcoming game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there are numerous characters who could potentially be romantic interests, ranging from those seeking casual flings to those involved in deep, prolonged love stories. Margaret’s romance leans more towards the latter, but it requires a significant investment of time and effort from the player. It is important to note that Margaret is one of the characters who can easily be overlooked, making her one of the least romanced characters in the entire game.

Meet Margaret During The Damsel In Distress Task

Players need to initiate the “Damsel in Distress” mission first to interact with Margaret and pursue the Victimised quest. This task can be started by visiting the mill located between Bylany and Old Lhota.

It’s possible that this task won’t activate during the night or while Henry is at the mill for the Fifth Commandment mission, so you may need to check back at a later time.

Pay attention for a woman’s voice coming from within a shed. Use lockpicking to gain entry and engage with the woman. She will instruct Henry to seek out the Miller, and in order to potentially romance Margaret later on, players must comply with her request and explore the woodshed thoroughly.

Upon reaching the barn later, the woman will no longer be there. Instead, Henry will find himself face-to-face with the miller and a guard. To progress towards the Victimised quest and Margaret, what Henry says in this situation won’t make much difference, but it’s wise to steer clear of any unnecessary trouble.

Starting The Victimised Quest & Preparation

After wrapping up Damsel in Distress, I’d recommend you to make your way to the inn south of Pschitoky on the road leading to Kuttenberg next. There, you might stumble upon a maid from the mill who appears destitute outside the establishment. Upon approaching her, she will introduce herself as Margaret.

She shares with Henry a tale about suffering and proposes a scheme to him, aimed at seeking retribution against a merchant from Kuttenberg and stealing his wealth. This action initiates the “Wronged Vengeance Quest” in KCD2.

For the preparation of this plan, Henry needs to do three things:

Find a sleeping potion (Lullaby Potion).
Bring Margaret a fancy dress.
Henry needs to look like a rich merchant.

Get The Lullaby Potion For The Victimised Quest

The Lullaby Potion is crucial for Margaret’s plan, and there are a few ways to get this potion.

Gather Poppy, Thistle, and Herb Paris, then follow this guide to make the Lullaby Potion via alchemy. This can be done without owning the recipe.
For a more immersive approach, purchase the recipe from the Herbwoman Vlasta in Miskowitz.
The Lullaby Potion itself can be bought from the Herbwoman Vlasta in Miskowitz and from the Apothecary in Pschitoky.

Get A Dress For Margaret & Dress Henry Well

Margaret requires an elegant gown to create an impression and maintain her image, and it’s essential for everyone to understand that she won’t settle for ordinary attire, not even something brand new.

Instead of sneaking into a rich merchant’s house at night to steal his wife’s clothes, it would be much simpler for Henry to buy a dress from a tailor.

A Noblewoman’s Cotehardie is good enough, for example, but dresses for burghers won’t be approved.

The best tailors and clothes are found in Kuttenberg.

If players haven’t yet acquired an elegant attire suitable for Henry, a trip to the tailor could be the perfect opportunity to get one, since it’s another essential task for the quest. Additionally, taking the time to clean his clothes and apply some fragrance might also be beneficial. Any increase in Charisma could prove advantageous.

Completing The Victimised Quest & Romancing Margaret

Upon getting back to Margaret at the Pschitoky inn with everything needed, she’ll ask me to hook up with her in Kuttenberg later on. Seems like a simple task to slip the Lullaby Potion into Latsek’s drink when he steps away for a moment thereafter.

After bringing Latsek to Margaret and resting, Henry and Margaret will proceed to Latsek’s store and residence. Henry is instructed to remain silent and merely support Margaret. To win her affection, players must consistently select silence as their option. But if they wish to uncover the truth, they should break their silence and interrogate Latsek instead.

Should You Romance Margaret?

After convincingly tricking Latsek out of his wealth, Henry and Margaret plan to retreat back to the hayloft. But it’s important for players to know that there is a significant drawback to pursuing romance with Margaret.

If they accept her kiss (and more), she will rob Henry in the morning of around 20% of his current Groschen.
If players decline and ask to get paid, they will get a good amount of Groschen.
