How to Increase Rot Level in Kena: Bridge of Spirits
In Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Kena’s ability to learn new skills depends on her Rot Level. To raise this level, she must find all the hidden Rot Spirits along the path to the Mountain Sanctuary.
To find Rot Spirits, Kena should use her Pulse ability (L) and look for a faint shimmer around the area it affects. If you watch closely, Rot Spirits will often gather near where a spirit is hidden.
Sometimes you’ll see these little purple glowing orbs – when I get close and press the ‘X’ button, I collect them and it raises my Rot Level. It’s pretty straightforward!
Some collectibles will be found inside chests and baskets. Others are hidden in special objects that require specific actions to reveal – like lifting a stone to uncover a hidden spirit. Because of this, players will need to explore the map thoroughly.
Players progress by using Kena’s pulse ability to find and collect interactive objects, containers, and hidden spirits, which then increases their Rot level.
Players will also be able to unlock new abilities by spending Karma in the Ability Menu. As they progress and earn more Rot Levels, Kena will learn new Rot Actions as well.
- Level 1: Requires finding 5 Rot spirits.
- Level 2: Requires finding 15 Rot spirits.
- Level 3: Requires finding 35 Rot spirits.
- Level 4: Requires finding 65 Rot spirits.
There are 100 Rot Spirits to collect in total. Kenna’s Rot Level can reach a maximum of 4. To become more powerful and survive challenging fights, it’s essential to unlock abilities that let her perform more Rot Actions during combat.
