In Killing Floor 3, instead of merely battling wave after wave of enemies (Zeds), the game provides a backstory that helps establish the setting and characters. Previously, players were simply hired guns; however, in this version, you assume the role of Specialists within Nightfall, an organization tasked with preventing global disasters.
In Nightfall’s line of work, he frequently delves into Horzine matters, and a significant portion of the narrative in Killing Floor 3 unfolds via narrated missions set within the game’s various levels. One such mission is Sample Analysis, and if you’re perplexed about how or where to acquire the Zed Tech necessary for it, this guide should provide some clarity.
Where to Find Zed Tech in KF3 Sample Analysis Mission
In the Research and Development Lab layout, players are tasked with locating and examining samples scattered throughout the site. One of the main goals is to discover Zed Tech, hidden within the Testing Chamber and Holding Cells sections. Be cautious as you explore these zones to avoid encounters with the advanced KF3 Zeds, who may attack.
There seems to be some uncertainty as to whether the Zed Tech spawn points are consistent across all players, however, you might be able to locate them by carefully observing any yellow beams protruding from the ground.
KF3 Testing Chamber Zed Tech Location
The Testing Chamber is a spacious room, enclosing a massive grinding mechanism that’s securely locked behind an equally substantial door. Scattered around, you might come across rubble piles leading up to the second floor, where a Zed Tech artifact could be hidden. During our gameplay session, we stumbled upon what seemed like a Husk’s arm cannon.
KF3 Holding Cells Zed Tech Location
The Area of Containment is where the Horzine personnel store all their living creatures. It’s situated near the Testing Room, and you’ll recognize it by the containment units themselves. In this zone, you’re likely to discover Zed Tech components within the breached containment cells.
Once you gather all Zed Tech components, you can move forward with the remainder of your mission. Your task now is to take the specimens you discovered to a scanner located within the lab. Don’t fret, the game will guide you towards the right direction. To finish the Sample Analysis mission, make sure to watch the entire match until it ends, and then immerse yourself in the enhanced combat experience that KF3 offers.
Recommendation
As a gamer, I found a clever trick to make those story missions less challenging: Before diving into the main objective, it’s wise to thin out the approaching Zed horde, leaving just one enemy behind – preferably a slow one like a Bloat, Screamer, or Cyst. Avoid hacking off their legs as they’ll eventually meet their demise regardless, and you’d be wasting time searching for objectives while they’re still alive on the map.
