Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Delayed to February 2025, Gamescom Plans Revealed

As a seasoned gamer who has been eagerly awaiting the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance since its initial release, I must say, February 11, 2025 feels like an eternity! However, the promise of a 20+ minute gameplay showcase and a Collector’s Edition reveal at Gamescom 2024 has certainly whet my appetite. The fact that they’re aiming to make combat more depth-ful and accessible is music to my ears (or should I say, controller buttons?).

Today on X’s latest update, the development team at Warhorse Studios unveiled the release date for their eagerly awaited follow-up, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The game is scheduled to go live on February 11, 2025.

Initially, fans anticipated that the game would come out towards the end of 2024, based on a revelation on IGN in April 2024.

Today’s article not only provided information about current topics but also unveiled future disclosures, specifically the developer’s strategies for Gamescom.

Warhorse Studios is set to unveil an extended gameplay demonstration for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, featuring more than 20 minutes of video content. This presentation, accompanied by a playable demo, initial reviews, and the announcement of a Collector’s Edition, is scheduled for August 21st.

During the video that accompanied today’s release date announcement, fans caught a brief peek at the Collector’s Edition box.

As a longtime fan of Warhorse Studios and their incredible work on Kingdom Come: Deliverance, I can hardly contain my excitement for the release of KCD2! Although the wait until February 11, 2025 seems like an eternity, I’m confident that the developers will keep us engaged with some fantastic reveals in the meantime.

During Summer Game Fest 2024, Warhorse Studios unveiled the initial gameplay trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Despite acknowledging that February might seem like a lengthy wait, the developers also highlighted that this timing aligns with the initial release week of Kingdom Come. In response, fans have shown their patience and expressed support for ensuring a successful launch.

Last month, Martin Ziegler of Warhorse Studios offered some in-depth details on the making of the game during a new interview. They revealed behind-the-scenes efforts to create something as authentic and immersive as possible.

Ziegler mentioned that “We’re making multiple improvements to the combat system, with the goal of increasing complexity and making it easier to understand as well.”
