The priest and villagers are seeking your help to investigate this matter within the mine.

  3. Get out of the mine.

Going into the Mine

Collect the gifts from the villagers and descend to the mine. A cutscene will play, transporting you straight into the mine. As you make your way along the passage, you’ll spot a basket containing Saviour Schnapps. Continue walking until you reach a crossroads, where you can pick up a torch from a barrel.

As you proceed, you’ll stumble upon a room containing a chest. Near the chest, you’ll spot a lockpick and a sword. Utilize the lockpick to unlock the chest, retrieve the contract inside, and read it. The contract will reveal that a knight has been safeguarding the mine from demons, and someone needs to step in and assume his duty.

Confronting the Knight

As I tread up the creaky staircase, the knight’s booming voice echoes through the dungeon. Ahead lies a trap, for as I proceed, he’ll make his move. Here are my options now:

1. Hide and wait for an opportunity to strike back.
2. Engage him head-on in combat, using all the skills I’ve honed over countless hours of gaming.
3. Try to outmaneuver him, dodging and weaving through the dimly lit corridors.
4. Retreat and regroup, coming up with a new strategy before facing this formidable foe again.

  1. Fight the knight directly.
  2. Knock him out.
  3. Tell him about the contract.

As a fan, I find myself in a challenging predicament, for this knight boasts an overpowering might. Engaging him in combat seems ill-advised, especially since I’m here, equipped only with my wits and no inventory to speak of. However, if I can manage to subdue him, perhaps by stealing his treasured items, it could prove beneficial. A more strategic approach might be to scrutinize the contract that brought me here, as it suggests I am here to take his place.

Coming out of the Mine

Should you decide to review the contract, the knight will guide you out of the mine and explain what belongings you have. Alternatively, you could opt to go left from the contract’s chest, scale the ladder, and exit the mine on your own.

Solving the Feud

When you bring the knight back from the mine, folks might think he’s a monster. To clear things up, I’ll tell them he was there to safeguard us.
