Warhorse Studios has officially released Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 after a surprise announcement. The Royal Edition is available now for $39.99 digitally on the Xbox and PlayStation Stores. Players who already own the game on Xbox One or PS4 can upgrade to the new version at no cost.
A physical copy of the game will be available starting May 15th. The next-generation update includes support for 4K resolution, higher-quality textures, and a smoother frame rate – details that were revealed last month. The trailer also suggests some lighting improvements, with certain areas looking more realistic than before.
The developer also included additional tweaks and enhancements, so dedicated players will probably get the most out of trying the game themselves. For those new to the series on consoles, or who only know Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, this is a great opportunity to discover where Henry’s story began.
Released in 2018, Kingdom Come: Deliverance proved to be a hit with players, selling over 10 million copies and is available on PC and Nintendo Switch. Warhorse Studios has recently finished updating the original game, which sold 5 million copies within its first year. You can read our review of the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance here.
