Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Physical Release Hits Europe—But There’s a Major Catch Fans Can’t Ignore!

On April 17th, Square Enix announced that the “Kingdom Hearts Complete Collection” for PlayStation 4, featuring 10 Kingdom Hearts games up to the initial launch of Kingdom Hearts 3, will be physically re-released on June 12th. Notably, this re-release of the “Kingdom Hearts Complete Collection” is planned exclusively for Europe, with copies becoming available about five years after their release in North America.

This collection called “Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Package” gathers three main components:

1. The combined version of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, which comprises the initial two numbered Kingdom Hearts games, plus Birth By Sleep, Re: Chain of Memories, and scenes from 358/2 Days and Re:Coded.

2. The standalone release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue.

3. The base version of the latest installment, Kingdom Hearts 3.

Inside the HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX compilation, you’ll find the original and remastered soundtracks composed by Yoko Shimomura for all the aforementioned Kingdom Hearts games. The latter compilation, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue, offers a high-definition port of the 3DS title Dream Drop Distance and sets the stage for KH3. All titles come with Yoko Shimomura’s original and remastered soundtracks.

Approximately five years following the debut of the Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Package in North America, European fans will soon have a chance to purchase physical copies. According to Gematsu, the release date for this PS4 compilation in Europe is set for Thursday, June 12th. The European version will mirror the 2020 release in North America, but it won’t feature the Kingdom Hearts 3: Re Mind DLC or the musical spin-off game, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory.

This 10-game bundle encompasses the complete Dark Seeker Saga and offers players the chance to engage with diverse Disney and Pixar realms and characters.

In the Dark Seeker Saga, the events unfold from the game Birth By Sleep, where we delve into the heartbreaking story of Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. The events of Birth By Sleep significantly impact characters like Sora, Riku, and Kairi, determining their paths. These paths are then explored in subsequent games, with the memories of Sora and his companions playing a crucial part. The Dark Seeker Saga reaches its climax with a Keyblade duel between Sora and Master Xehanort, but uncertainties remain about Sora’s future after the fight.
