Actor Kit Harington, famously known for his role as Jon Snow in the popular TV series “Game of Thrones,” has shared an amusing tale about how co-star Bella Ramsey rescued them from a potentially embarrassing blunder during filming. This show, based on George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels, was initially met with much acclaim as it unfolded on HBO. Over the course of its numerous seasons, it garnered countless praises. However, when season 8 arrived, some ardent fans felt let down by the final season of “Game of Thrones,” attributing their dissatisfaction to a chaotic plotline and excessive focus on action rather than intricate storytelling.

Charles Dance, known for his role as Tywin Lannister, voiced some displeasure about how the popular series “Game of Thrones” concluded, despite its acclaimed characters like Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Jamie Lannister, Jon Snow, and Lyanna Mormont who were loved for their intricate personalities. It’s worth noting that filming scenes involving these beloved characters wasn’t always easy-breezy.

Game of Thrones Star Recalls a “Humiliating” Moment on Set With Bella Ramsey

In an interview with Interview Magazine, Kit Harington (aged 38), who portrayed Jon Snow – the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen – recollected a scene from Season 6 where Bella Ramsey, at just 11 years old and playing Lady Lyanna Mormont, provided significant assistance when Harington momentarily forgot his lines. In this particular scene, Jon Snow asked Lady Mormont for soldiers to prepare for the Battle of the Bastards. According to Ramsey, she and Harington vividly remember that instance, and at the time, she had to whisper Jon’s forgotten lines to him on set.

Currently, I find myself saying something along the lines of, “Wow, that’s tough.” Initially, though, my action stemmed from an entirely innocent intention. I was simply trying to help Kit who seemed to be having trouble with his lines, so I thought I’d silently mouth them to him.

The actor, Harington, admitted to feeling embarrassed while reminiscing about an incident when Ramsey had to assist him. He laughed and expressed gratitude, but also mentioned he’d rather forget it. He further explained that needing help from Ramsey served as a wake-up call for him, as he realized his character had become overly confident. Harington continued by saying that the experience made him realize he needed to improve his performance because he was struggling with his lines and found himself outshone by the child actor, Ramsey. However, he emphasized that it wasn’t a competition but rather a reminder that he had grown too complacent in his portrayal of Jon Snow.

Ramsey mentioned that their debut role as a child actor on “Game of Thrones” didn’t make them feel anxious since they had no idea what to expect because acting wasn’t yet solidified as their career choice at the time. They also disclosed that after completing “The Last of Us” season 2, they’ve been writing scripts and are soon to begin filming for the upcoming comedy series, “Sunny Dancer,” in Scotland.

Currently, Ramsey is featured in the second season of “The Last of Us,” which is available for streaming on Max. New episodes are released each Sunday.
