The game Pokemon GO has unveiled that it’s launching the Powerful Potential event starting from March 5. This initial event of March will be the debut for the first new Pokemon in Pokemon GO‘s eighteenth season, Might and Mastery, which commences on March 4 and concludes on June 3.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the star of this season is none other than Kubfu, debuting in Generation 8 alongside The Isle of Armor, an exciting expansion for Pokemon Sword and Shield. In this DLC, Kubfu plays a pivotal role within Mustard’s Master Dojo. This Legendary Fighting-type Pokemon resembles a miniature bear with gray fur, sporting two white ribbons of fur atop its head that it uses to amass power by tugging on them. Known for its relentless training regimen, Kubfu transforms into either Urshifu Single or Rapid Strike Style upon evolution, depending on the chosen scroll.

Starting from March 5 at 10:00 AM, I’ll be able to encounter more Gen 8 monsters in Pokemon GO as they introduce Kubfu during the Powerful Potential event. This event will run until March 10 at 8:00 PM local time. During this period, players like me can discover Kubfu through a fresh, free Special Research story. This story can be claimed from March 5 at 10:00 AM until June 3 at 9:59 AM local time. However, please note that Kubfu cannot be traded, given to the professor, or moved to Pokemon Home.

Kubfu Debuts on the First Pokemon GO Season 18 Event

During this period, eggs measuring 2.5, 7.5, 10, and 16 kilometers will hatch a special Charcadet, the first time in the game that it can appear shiny. A new Timed Research event in Pokemon GO is being introduced. By completing the tasks, trainers will receive an encounter with Charcadet as well as various items. For the duration of this event, the distance needed to hatch eggs will be reduced by half. Additionally, trainers will have the opportunity to participate in one- and six-star Max Battles, as well as one- and three-star raids. An $8 USD ticket can be purchased, offering rewards such as two Premium Battle Passes and an encounter with Dynamax Kubfu. Completing Field Research tasks will grant players encounters with creatures like Alolan Raichu and Hisuian Typhlosion.

The inaugural event of the latest Pokemon GO season is called “The Powerful Potential”. This event is filled with other equally thrilling activities for trainers to participate in. Among these activities, there’s the Community Day that will star Fuecoco, a beloved Gen 9 starter, happening on March 8th. Additionally, Totodile, another popular character, makes a comeback for the Classic Community Day on March 22nd. The month also offers battles against Dynamax Raikou on March 15th and 16th, as well as Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd.
