In *Dying Light: The Beast*, you’ll encounter many side quests that help you learn more about the characters you meet. Around the middle of the game, you’ll take on a quest to find a music box for an elderly woman named Iris. But this quest, called ‘Last Wish,’ isn’t simple – you’ll also have to locate her husband’s grave and crack the combination to a safe.
How to Start the Last Wish Side Quest in Dying Light: The Beast
You can begin the Last Wish quest in *Dying Light: The Beast* after finishing “Some Like It Dark” and unlocking the Exiles Cave save point. Completing the quest introduces you to other exiles who, like Kyle Crane, possess unique abilities.
When I went into the cave, I found Amelia tending to a woman named Iris who wasn’t feeling well. There was a little exclamation mark over Iris’s head, so I talked to Amelia and she asked for my help with a side quest called ‘Last Wish’. Basically, I needed to guide Kyle to Iris’s house first, so he could put some flowers on her late husband’s grave, and then find a music box for her. It sounded like a really sweet quest, so I jumped right in!
Iris Husband’s Grave Location in Last Wish Quest
After you start the Last Wish quest, go to the area and look for a house overrun with zombies. To easily find the grave of Iris’ husband, climb onto the roof of the house.
Once you’re atop the roof, look towards the trees with golden leaves to the right.
Okay, so for the first part of the ‘Last Wish’ quest in *Dying Light: The Beast*, you need to go to the location shown in the picture. Once you’re there, you’ll find Iris’ husband’s grave – just place the flower on it, and that’ll complete the first step! It’s a bit sad, but it moves the quest forward.
Retrieving the Music Box for Iris in Dying Light: The Beast (All Last Wish Safe Codes)
To continue the Last Wish quest in *Dying Light: The Beast*, you need to find a music box for Iris. Go back to her house and climb onto the roof from the east side. You’ll see a window covered with wooden planks. Break those planks with a weapon to get inside.
You’ll find Iris’ room right ahead, but it’s locked. To get in, you need to find the key. Luckily, it’s easy to locate – just go downstairs and check the table on the right.
The room contains a few items to gather, and a locked safe is on the bookshelf. Unfortunately, the safe’s code isn’t visible. Amelia will advise Kyle to investigate the store owned by Iris’ husband in the Old Town for clues.
Okay, so the game is telling me to head to Iris’ husband’s shop in Old Town. It’s a bit sneaky – I have to crawl under the door to get in. Once inside, I need to clear out all the zombies first. Then, the important part – I gotta find the lockpick and use it on the door behind the counter. Sounds like there’s something good back there!
The door opens into the store’s back office. Here, you can examine the journal on the desk to discover the code for the safe in Iris’ house. But when you return to the house, you’ll find the safe has been stolen, and you’ll need to track it down.
By following the thief’s tracks, players will find a warehouse. Kyle’s ability lets them see armed enemies inside. You can get in through an open window, which is easily reached by climbing on some boxes.
You’ll find some enemies inside that you need to beat before you reach three locked safes. Here are all the codes and combinations to open those safes in the Last Wish side quest of *Dying Light: The Beast*.

After you get the music box for Iris, go back to the Exiles Cave and give it to Amelia. This finishes the Last Wish quest in *Dying Light: The Beast*, and you’ll receive two Service Manuals and a good amount of XP to help you level up.
