Latest Escape from Tarkov Update Fixes ‘Transition’ Bug

As an experienced gamer who has navigated through the harsh and unforgiving landscape of Tarkov for what feels like an eternity, I must say that the recent updates by Battlestate Games have been nothing short of a breath of fresh air. The sudden transition bug that had us leaping into raids with enemy players was not only nerve-wracking but also downright frustrating.

The temporary lockdown on transitions was like being told to stand still in the middle of a gunfight – it just didn’t feel right. But now, with the fix for this issue and a dozen other adjustments, it seems we can finally move freely again. It’s like being let out of solitary confinement after serving a lifetime sentence!

The changes have been coming thick and fast, which I suspect has something to do with that Unity engine upgrade they mentioned. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been upgraded, I’d be rich enough to afford all the high-tier gear in Tarkov without breaking a sweat!

Now, if only they could fix the issue where my character starts dancing when I run out of ammo… I swear that jitterbug move is more dangerous than any Scav raid!

Battlestate Games has unexpectedly released an update for Escape from Tarkov, addressing several problems within the game. One of the significant modifications made is the resolution of a bug that was resulting in players transitioning between maps alongside enemy players, which understandably led to tense situations when entering the next raid.

To address the problem at hand, Battlestar Galactica momentarily halted transition periods, preventing some tasks and extended missions from occurring. Now, in a quick update, the team has rectified this problem, along with several other dozen issues.

Free to Move

In Escape from Tarkov, a recent addition is the feature that lets players smoothly move between maps, preserving their ongoing gameplay and diving into fresh surroundings to maintain the excitement. This function serves as the base for numerous new missions in the game as well.

After the most recent server reset in Tarkov, transitions became problematic for numerous players. They were inadvertently transported with adversaries, leading to a glitch. Upon logging back in, chaos erupted as they began shooting one another, forcing Battlestate Games to temporarily disable the feature.

Just now on social media, the BSG crew announced they’ve made this update to Escape from Tarkov: [specific issue addressed]

  • Fixed all known issues where players transitioning between locations could enter a raid with players outside their group

Additionally, the following adjustments have been made:

  • Fixed an issue where the player has been teleporting in place without being able to move in any direction on various locations
  • Fixed an issue where kills from Aklys Defence Velociraptor .300 Blackout did not count towards progress of Punisher. Part 2 quest
  • Reduced the sales limit for 7.62x51mm BCP FMJ rounds to 100 (120 for owners of The Unheard Edition) per restock
  • Harris “S-BRM 6-9” bipods moved to Skier LL2
  • BT10 V8 Atlas Bipods moved to Mechanic LL2
  • NVG-57E night vision device added to Prapor LL1
  • Adjusted spawn rates for barter items in the pockets on Scavs and player Scavs
  • Adjusted spawn rates and conditions for armour and armoured rigs on Scavs and player Scavs
  • Adjusted spawn rates for ammunition on player Scavs
  • Adjusted spawn rates for backpacks on Scavs.

Since Battlestate Games upgraded to the new Unity engine and launched a global reset in Escape from Tarkov about a week back, the gameplay has been evolving rapidly for me as a gamer. Many players believe this swift pace of change is due to the engine upgrade combined with the global reset event.
