The Nightflower Pollen farm was crucial for easing the tough endgame struggle in Monster Hunter Wilds, offering players a more favorable chance at obtaining Gold Relic Tickets for Decorations and Relics through trades. It helped make the grind less monotonous – that is, until the most recent update removed this handy shortcut.
Since the release of Hotfix Patch Version 1.000.05.00, players have mentioned that Nightflower Pollens are appearing less frequently, even when they complete missions requiring a Full Moon. For instance, in quests such as Balahara’s ‘A Leviathan’s Rage,’ I haven’t been able to find the Nightflower Pollen.
It seems that while the update’s notes don’t directly mention a reduction in the effectiveness of the pollen farm, one adjustment could potentially suggest this change. In the part addressing issues, you will find the statement: “We’ve fixed an issue where certain items/rewards could be obtained repeatedly under specific conditions.” This suggests that the developers have eliminated a loophole that allowed players to accumulate these items excessively.
Collecting Nightflower Pollen during its elusive Full Moon phase has become quite challenging now. Some gamers are expressing their sadness about the farm’s change on social media platforms like Twitter or X, but others view it as a silver lining. This is because it will bring back the endgame to its original form – a tough, unforgiving grind. However, there might be a way to bypass this Nightflower Pollen restriction, perhaps through the SOS Flare Quest called ‘The Desert Knows Not the Sea’. Keep in mind that things can get tricky sometimes, so it may not work for everyone.
Apart from the adjustments made to the pollen farm, the March 10th update for Monster Hunter Wilds tackles various other matters, such as resolving the progression issue in Chapter 5-2, providing an unlock for Azuz and Sild Meal Invitations. Furthermore, some improvements are underway for persistent issues found in side missions, Palicos, and Hunter Profiles.
We’re still working on addressing the main issues affecting the game’s performance and save corruptions. Fingers crossed these fixes are implemented before Title Update 1, scheduled for an early April launch. It’s possible that another method for farming Nightflower Pollen could surface unless, as expected, it gets patched again.
