As a huge One Piece fan, I always thought Shanks was a genuinely good guy – someone who wouldn’t needlessly put anyone in danger. But things are starting to feel different! When he openly said he wanted to go after the One Piece, it really threw everyone for a loop. It’s become clear he’s not staying neutral anymore, and he’ll do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. Plus, he’s fiercely protective of the islands and people under his control, which makes things even more interesting!

Shanks Beat Bartolomeo To A Pulp In The Latest Episode

Episode 1156 of One Piece showed Bartolomeo arriving at Gartel Island with his crew. They intervened to help the islanders, defeating a group of bullies. Afterward, the Barto Club attempted to sell Straw Hat-themed goods to the locals, but surprisingly, no one was interested. It turned out Gartel Island was under the protection of the Red Hair Pirates, which explained the locals’ lack of interest.

Bartolomeo made a terrible mistake by tearing down the flag. News of this quickly reached Shanks, who immediately sailed to the island. Shanks and his crew severely beat Bartolomeo, then gave him a harsh choice: either poison Luffy within one month, or face death.

When given the order, Bartolomeo quickly drank the entire vial, demonstrating his unwavering loyalty to the Straw Hat Pirates. He believed he was facing certain death, but it was a test orchestrated by Shanks to gauge his commitment to Luffy. Shanks was impressed by the dedication of the Barto Club. After allowing Bartolomeo to leave, Shanks permitted Yasopp to destroy the ship, recognizing that Yasopp’s drastic action was necessary, even if it seemed harsh.

Shanks Wants To Claim The One Piece

It was recently confirmed that Shanks is seriously pursuing the One Piece treasure. This surprised many fans, as he didn’t seem interested in finding it for most of the series. With Shanks now in the running, the competition to become King of the Pirates has become much more challenging for everyone else.

Shanks is widely considered one of the most powerful characters in One Piece. He’s mastered all three types of Haki, including their most advanced forms. Remarkably, he can even use his powerful Conqueror’s Haki to block an opponent’s ability to see into the future, giving him a huge advantage. Despite not having a Devil Fruit power, Shanks’ incredible Haki skills make him a formidable opponent.

I’m really excited to see how Luffy will handle learning about Shanks’ true ambitions! Shanks has always been like a hero and a brother to him, so it’s going to be fascinating – and probably emotional – to see how Luffy processes all of that.

It will be difficult for him to fight someone he’s close to. If they do end up fighting, it’s sure to be a very emotional experience.

Most fans believe Shanks and Blackbeard are destined to clash. They share a significant history – Blackbeard is responsible for the scar over Shanks’ eye, a debt that hasn’t been settled. While they faced off at Marineford, Blackbeard backed down, recognizing his crew wasn’t strong enough to fight the Red Hair Pirates. But their next encounter will almost certainly be a full-blown battle.

Both Shanks and Blackbeard are determined to find the One Piece and will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. While Blackbeard is infamous for being sneaky and untrustworthy, a direct fight against Shanks might not go his way. He’s more likely to rely on trickery and a cunning plan to win.
