LE SSERAFIM Joins Overwatch 2: New Skins for Your Favorite Heroes Revealed!

Summary

  • The second LE SSERAFIM crossover will debut in Overwatch 2 on March 18.
  • The event will include brand-new skins for Ashe, Illari, Mercy, Juno, and D.Va.
  • Fans are hoping that other past collaborations will reappear in the future.

In March, it’s been confirmed that Overwatch 2 will once again feature LE SSERAFIM crossover costumes for some of its heroes. The first time these two entities met was in a collaboration back in 2023, where new skins were introduced for D.Va, Sombra, Tracer, Brigitte, Kiriko, and even Junkrat (who received a free skin as a reward for completing the event tasks).

Over the course of 2024, Blizzard significantly increased the number of partnerships for their hit first-person shooter game, Overwatch 2. This year saw a variety of crossovers, starting with the beloved anime series Cowboy Bebop in January. The summer months brought a collaboration with Transformers, introducing characters like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron as skins for Reinhardt, Bastion, and Ramattra. In September, Overwatch 2 celebrated the 30th anniversary of Blizzard’s Warcraft franchise by adding a collection of Warcraft-themed skins. The year culminated with an anime collaboration with My Hero Academia in October, followed by a partnership with Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender in December.

2025 collaboration schedule for Overwatch 2 has been initiated by Blizzard, featuring a comeback of K-pop sensation, LE SSERAFIM. In a chat with ComicBook, Overwatch 2’s Aimee Dennett shared details about the game’s upcoming second LE SSERAFIM crossover event, which starts on March 18. This event brings ten fresh LE SSERAFIM skins to Overwatch 2, with five being recolors of the original Overwatch 2 LE SSERAFIM collaboration skins and the remaining five being entirely new for characters like Ashe, Illari, Mercy, and Juno, the latest support hero. D.Va will also be part of the team with a completely new LE SSERAFIM skin.

Overwatch 2 Confirms New LE SSERAFIM Skins

When inquired about D.Va receiving her second complete LE SSERAFIM skin, Dennett highlighted the fact that D.Va is the only Korean character within the game, making it fitting for her to represent the partnership by getting a brand-new skin on this occasion. Regarding hero Junkrat, he clarified that while there won’t be a fresh Fawksey James look for him during the second LE SSERAFIM event, his original Fawksey skin will become accessible again when the second wave of the collaboration goes live. Sadly, the unique Concert Clash game mode introduced in the first LE SSERAFIM partnership, where players fought to gather VIP concert tickets, won’t be reintroduced this time around.

As Overwatch 2 fans witness the comeback of a past collaboration for the first time, speculation is arising regarding possible revivals of previous partnerships in the game. However, Dennett mentioned cautiously that while another round could be considered, they are careful not to make any commitments or stir unnecessary excitement. For now, Overwatch 2 enthusiasts can anticipate the return of LE SSERAFIM on March 18.
