Demacia Rising is a new game coming to League of Legends in 2026. It’s a turn-based strategy game where you build a city and learn about the history of Demacia, from its humble beginnings as a small group of villages to its rise as a powerful nation in the world of Runeterra. The game will be updated with new content throughout the year.

Players have a lot of freedom to develop their cities, but a key goal for many will be to found a new settlement in Demacia Rising. Completing this unlocks an Orb, which could contain some of the most popular skins from League of Legends.

In Demacia Rising, players progress and unlock improvements by using Silver Shields. These are mainly earned by playing League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.

How To Establish A New Settlement In Demacia Rising For League Of Legends

If you just want to get the free orb for starting a new town, you’re in luck! It’s built right into the game’s introduction, which guides you through everything you need to do.

How To Recruit Troops In Demacia Rising

To start a new settlement, players must conquer enemy lands, defeating all monsters and enemies living there. Building an army is essential, but remember that soldiers need to be fed!

Select your city, Zeffira, and then construct a farm on any available space. This will cost 20 wood and take one turn to complete.

Once you’ve spent 10 Silver Shields to advance the turn, the farm will be completed. Since you already have a barracks in Zeffira, you can now start training units. Select one of the empty spaces at the bottom of your city screen to train Guards. Each Guard costs 1 Food and 50 Lumber, and training them will take another turn.

Moving Troops In Demacia Rising

Once your units have finished training, you can click on your capital city to view them. Then, click the ‘Move’ button at the bottom of the screen and choose ‘Send To’ to select where you want to send your units in Vaskasia.

This will again take one turn, but in the future, traveling further may take more turns.

Fighting Battles In Demacia Rising

After the soldiers arrive, players can click on Vaskasia’s territory to view enemy and friendly units stationed there.

The Battle button is located at the bottom of the screen. Tapping it will begin the battle at the start of your next turn, so be sure to press the sun icon in the bottom right corner to move forward in time.

Players don’t have any control over what happens in these early fights, but they’re always guaranteed to win the first one during the introduction. Winning this battle gives players 5 Valor and 50 Lumber.

Building A New Settlement In Demacia Rising

Once you’ve won a battle, the conquered area will be cleared, leaving an empty space. To start building, click on this open land. You’ll see a build menu appear, indicated by a button at the top of the screen with a hammer icon and a green arrow – click that button to open it.

Building a settlement in Vaskasia will cost 200 Silver Shields and 100 Lumber, and it will take one turn to complete. Once finished, you’ll receive an orb for finishing the prologue, which is a new way to earn free skins in League of Legends.
