A LEGO enthusiast recently demonstrated impressive building skills by creating the USS Princeton using only pieces from a Millennium Falcon set. The LEGO community includes many talented builders, and some enjoy the challenge of rebuilding with parts from existing sets – in this case, a Star Wars model.
LEGO’s success is largely due to its many collaborations with popular brands. Over the years, they’ve created building sets based on huge media franchises, like Star Wars. LEGO fans can find sets representing different moments and locations from the Star Wars universe. It’s no surprise that many of the most famous Star Wars ships have been recreated as official LEGO sets – Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon, for example, has over 20 different LEGO versions, varying greatly in size and detail.
LEGO Fan’s USS Princeton Made Out of Pieces from Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon
A Reddit user named Creation Caravan recently took apart a LEGO Millennium Falcon set and rebuilt it into a remarkably accurate model of the USS Princeton, a US Navy warship. Using all 921 pieces from the original LEGO set (model 75375), they successfully transformed the iconic starship into a detailed replica of the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, as shown in a post on Reddit.
The impressive design received a lot of praise on Reddit, earning over 2,900 upvotes. Fans particularly enjoyed the creativity of building the USS Princeton using pieces from an entirely different LEGO set. Despite sharing a similar gray color scheme with the Millennium Falcon, the builder had to construct every detail, from the guns to the radar, from scratch. This isn’t the first time Creation Caravan has cleverly repurposed LEGO sets; they frequently share alternative builds using existing Star Wars sets. A recent example saw them transform a Venator-Class Attack Cruiser into the USS Enterprise 1701-A from Star Trek. They’ve also done the reverse, creating Star Warsthemed designs from nonStar Wars sets, like a Millennium Falcon built from a LEGO Lightning McQueen model.
These amazing LEGO creations show just how much fans can achieve with a little imagination. Beyond the impressive work from Creation Caravan, many other builders share their designs online to inspire others. Some focus on popular themes like Star Wars, while others recreate buildings and locations from the real world – like the recent project where two brothers built a 17,000-piece LEGO model of their own house.
With LEGO remaining incredibly popular, we can expect to see even more amazing custom builds shared online soon. Luckily, LEGO keeps releasing new sets, which gives creative builders like Creation Caravan plenty of options for alternative projects. Excitingly, several new Star Wars sets are on the way, including Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter, Luke’s Red Five X-wing, and the Throne Room Duel & A-wing. All of these, based on the original trilogy, will be available starting March 1st at various price levels.
