LEGO has previously created sets based on Nintendo properties like Mario and The Legend of Zelda, but Pokémon is likely their most popular and sought-after franchise, considering its success with the company that also makes the Switch 2.

As a huge LEGO fan, I’ve been hearing rumors about another Legend of Zelda set coming out this year – maybe even based on Ocarina of Time! But honestly, this Pokémon collaboration is way bigger news. When the first pictures leaked and it looked like LEGO was just doing Pikachu and Charizard, I figured they were playing it safe. But then more leaks showed that LEGO and Pokémon were really going all out with a ton of different sets and something really interactive, which is awesome!

What to Expect from LEGO and Pokemon’s Collaboration in 2026

I’m not a huge fan of LEGO sets that require a lot of action, but the designs themselves are always great, and I’m excited to see what LEGO does with Pokemon. Recently, LEGO sets have really impressed me with their detail and creativity – the Game Boy set is full of hidden surprises, and the Stranger Things Creel House is a really cool, interactive build. LEGO Pokemon has so much potential, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the new sets.

Plus, fans are anticipating the reveal of Pokémon Generation 10 this year, with a possible release before the end of 2026.

This year is shaping up to be fantastic for Pokémon fans, and I’m especially excited about the upcoming card sets. There seems to be a great variety planned, offering something for all collectors. While I’m a little worried about how much they might cost, I’m incredibly enthusiastic overall!
