I’ve been really looking forward to the LEGO Legend of Zelda set, and it’s been one of my top picks for 2026, along with the upcoming Pokémon LEGO releases. Honestly, I was excited the moment I heard LEGO was making another Zelda set after how great the Deku Tree set was – I didn’t even need to know what was in the set!
As more information about the Legend of Zelda LEGO set has become available, excitement has been building. And now, thanks to the newest leak, it looks like LEGO is exceeding expectations and delivering everything fans hoped for – and even more!
Recent leaks suggest the upcoming LEGO Legend of Zelda set will recreate a scene from Ocarina of Time. While a teaser showing Link and Zelda in their outfits from that game hinted at this possibility, it wasn’t confirmed. Many also thought the set would include a figure of Ganon in his monstrous form, based on a shadowy figure visible in the teaser.
If the recent rumors are accurate – and they usually are – the new LEGO Legend of Zelda set will recreate the climactic battle against Ganon from Ocarina of Time. Importantly, it will include minifigures of the main characters involved in the fight. I was worried it might only include Link and Zelda figures, and that Ganon would be a larger, brick-built model instead of a minifigure, but it seems that won’t be the case.
It’s great news that the LEGO set will include both a brick-built Ganon and a Ganondorf minifigure. Leaving out a Ganondorf figure would have been a real disappointment, particularly for fans who like to build their own creations. Now, LEGO enthusiasts can have the best of both worlds.
As a huge Zelda fan, I’m so excited about the LEGO set! The latest news suggests it’s finally coming out on March 1, 2026 – right after we’ll be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the original game. We first heard it would have around 1,000 pieces, and it looks like that’s still accurate – reportedly 1,003 to be exact. I can’t wait to start building!
With the release schedule we’re looking at, the Legend of Zelda LEGO set should be announced very soon, possibly even as you’re reading this. Although it has around 1,000 pieces – fewer than the LEGO Bowser set – it should still look great on display. I actually like that it’s a smaller build, as it will likely be more affordable. The Zelda Deku Tree set already costs $250, so I’m guessing this new set will be around $150.
LEGO and video game fans have a lot to look forward to in 2026! It kicks off with three Pokémon sets coming out in February, followed by a Zelda set in March. More Pokémon sets are expected later in the summer, and a new LEGO Batman video game is also planned. While we might see fewer sets from familiar franchises like Marvel, Harry Potter, and Minecraft, fans of video game-themed LEGO will be very happy with what’s coming.
