LEGO Pokémon Partnership Reveal Appears Online

It appears that LEGO Pokémon models might be under development, given that an early upload of a removal post about them was found on the official LEGO Mexico Facebook page.

LEGO is one of the most popular toy production companies. It is known to collaborate with various franchises, such as Mario, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many more. However, one of the biggest franchises has managed to skip LEGO’s grasp for years now: Pokémon.

The partnership between LEGO and Pokémon might become a reality, hinted by a recently deleted teaser video on the LEGO Mexico Facebook page (as seen on r/Legoleak via Wario64). The video, which was captioned with a 2026 release window, is now gone from that account but can still be viewed on Reddit.

The 13-second preview starts by assembling LEGO bricks in a bright yellow hue, constructing the distinctive tail of the famous Pokémon character, Pikachu. As electricity flows through these building blocks, Pikachu deploys his electric power to light up not one but two logos – LEGO and Pokémon. In the end, Pikachu fades away into the shadows.

The LEGO and Pokémon partnership has not arrived sooner due to the latter’s licensing agreement with Mattel. Mattel, through its Mega Bloks brand, has sold buildable characters, play sets, building blocks, and sets for the franchise, including models for the most popular Pokémon like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and more. However, this new partnership could mean the end of Pokémon and Mattel’s agreement.
