As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating galaxies far, far away, I’ve found myself immersed in the latest LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This game has been a delightful trip down memory lane, and one of its lesser-known yet intriguing features is the Jedi Mind Trick.
Occasionally, while confronting adversaries in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, I find that opting for the more conventional methods like blasting them or using my lightsaber isn’t always necessary. As a Jedi, I’ve learned to harness the power of the Force in creative ways, such as Force Push, Force Pull, and even Mind Tricks.
If you’re now engrossed in playing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and seeking ways to effectively utilize Jedi Mind Tricks, here’s a guide on how to do so when encountering a Stormtrooper next time.
How to Use Jedi Mind Tricks in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
When embarking on your adventure in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, you typically commence with episode 4, A New Hope, but you have the freedom to pick another trilogy if you prefer. Whichever trilogy you opt for, you’ll find similar instructions above your selected adversary. In episode 4, you’ll initially control characters like Leia, Luke, and Ben Kenobi. Remember, before employing Jedi Mind Tricks, ensure you’re using the correct character. Throughout gameplay, you may be accompanied by a group of characters, and you can switch between them as needed.
Upon your inaugural visit to Mos Eisley alongside Luke and Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’ll have the opportunity to traverse this novel locale, discover fresh items, and engage in skirmishes with Stormtroopers. In this specific encounter, there’s a particular Stormtrooper adversary that you can locate by tracking the luminescent yellow marks on the ground. Upon reaching the location depicted in the initial image provided, you’ll find a Stormtrooper concealed behind a crimson gate. Here’s a breakdown of the steps to employ Jedi Mind Tricks on him:
- Start by approaching the Stormtrooper, and he will tell you to show some identification.
- You’ll notice a blue Lego head symbol above him. This means you can use Jedi Mind Tricks on him.
- Since Luke doesn’t have Jedi abilities at this point, you’ll want to swap over to Ben Kenobi.
- Now, a prompt will appear above the Stormtrooper that will allow you to use Mind Tricks on him. Press this button, and you’ll now take over the Stormtrooper after choosing ‘Influence‘.
- As the Stormtrooper, head over to the red terminal on the right. To open the gate, press the four symbols that appear on the screen.
- The gate will then open, and you’ll now have access to this new section of Mos Eisley.
In the game, when you notice a blue Lego head symbol above an opponent’s head in the future, it signals that you can utilize Jedi Mind Tricks once more. However, remember that not every foe can be affected, particularly powerful bosses such as Darth Vader. There are three unique forms of Jedi Mind Tricks: Influence, Distract, and Panic. The ‘Influence’ ability lets you control the character, while ‘Distract’ keeps enemies from attacking you, and ‘Panic’ causes them to fight among themselves.
How to Upgrade Jedi Mind Tricks in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Enhancing the potency of Jedi Mind Tricks against adversaries can be achieved by upgrading their skills. Here’s a simple guide for the process:
- Start by going to the Upgrades tab and choose the Jedi class.
- There will be two options that allow you to upgrade your Jedi Mind Tricks, including:
- Trick Time: This extends the duration of Distract and Panic, making enemies confused for a longer period of time.
- Mind Master: This extends the range of Distract and Panic, meaning you won’t have to approach enemies as closely to activate the Mind Trick.
These enhancements prove incredibly beneficial for those aiming to employ Jedi Mind Tricks often, as they allow for a stealthier approach towards adversaries, thereby providing an upper hand in the process.
