LEGO Teases KPop Demon Hunter Sets

LEGO and Netflix are hinting at a partnership centered around the popular animated musical film, KPop Demon Hunters. If it comes to fruition, we could see LEGO sets featuring the group Huntrix and other characters from the movie in 2026 and 2027. LEGO is already planning several exciting releases this year, and the first KPop Demon Hunters set, expected this summer, is predicted to be very popular with builders.

Premiering on June 20, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters tells the story of a long line of female groups who use the power of music to defend the world from demons called the Honmoon. The movie follows the latest group, a modern KPop band, as they work to contain these creatures. It quickly became Netflix’s most popular animated film ever. The movie’s original music has also become incredibly successful – the song “Golden” won a Grammy Award, and the soundtrack was the only one in 2025 to reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.

KPop Demon Hunters is Coming to LEGO

The popular animated series KPop Demon Hunters is getting its own LEGO set! LEGO has announced the first set will be available for pre-order this spring and will be released sometime this summer, with more sets planned for 2026. Lena Dixen, a LEGO Group Vice President, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that fans of both KPop Demon Hunters and LEGO will be able to combine their interests and build the world of the show.

Fans eager to see what the KPop Demon Hunters characters will look like as LEGO sets will need to be patient. LEGO hasn’t released any official pictures of the first completed build yet. A brief teaser video on LEGO’s Instagram only shows a blue LEGO leg briefly moving past some flowers, with the caption “COMING 2026.” Although the video itself doesn’t reveal much, the accompanying text confirms it’s related to a new KPop Demon Hunters set. Sharp-eyed fans will recognize the three-toed leg as belonging to Derpy, the blue tiger creature who starts as Jinu’s pet and later becomes Rumi’s companion.

LEGO isn’t sharing details about new sets planned for 2027, but fans are already buzzing with predictions online. Many believe the 2027 lineup will include official LEGO minifigures based on Kpop Demon Hunters, with a large, standalone build of the character ‘Derpy’ and related playsets expected the following year. There’s also debate about whether future Kpop Demon Hunters sets will feature traditional LEGO minifigures or Minidolls, similar to those found in LEGO Friends and Disney Princess sets.

Even as LEGO fans eagerly await news about the upcoming collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters, there’s still plenty to be excited about in 2026 and beyond. The first three LEGO Smart Play Star Wars sets will launch on March 1st, introducing new technology for a more interactive building experience.
