The director of Lies of P has hinted that their next game might not meet player expectations, suggesting some fans could be disappointed.
This year, the creators of Lies of P launched their Overture DLC, and it proved to be a hit with both players and critics. In fact, it won the Best Game Expansion award at the Golden Joysticks Awards 2025. While accepting the award, the game’s director also shared some news about their next project.
Lies of P Sequel Will Feature the ‘Most Fun That We Can Achieve Within the Game’
Following the Golden Joystick Awards 2025, where Lies of P’s Overture DLC won Best Game Expansion, director Choi Ji-won spoke with GamesRadar+. He expressed immense joy over the win and described the DLC as more than just a typical expansion, calling it “almost a sequel” and a completely new undertaking.
The director of Lies of P recently shared that players can look forward to their next game being incredibly enjoyable. Both Round8 and Neowiz, the teams working on the project, are dedicated to delivering a fantastic experience and won’t let fans down. While the director didn’t specify if this next game is a sequel to Lies of P or something entirely new, they assured players it will be worth the wait.
Good news for fans of Lies of P – the game and its Overture DLC have now sold over 3 million copies! Also, a job posting from last year suggests the potential sequel might be an open-world game.
