Based on elements from the 19th-century novel “The Adventures of Pinocchio,” developers Neowiz and Round8 Studio collaborated to create an action RPG titled “Lies of P,” which was launched in September 2023. Upon its release, this Soulslike game received a very positive response from critics and managed to sell more than a million copies within the first month, even though it was available on Xbox Game Pass on the same day. Since then, fan anticipation for a sequel to “Lies of P” has been steadily increasing, peaking notably during PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast a week ago. On February 12th, fans finally got a glimpse of the “Lies of P: Overture” DLC, courtesy of an exciting announcement trailer.
During the ID@Xbox Showcase stream on February 24th, the official Twitter account for “Lies of P” hinted at the unveiling of a new trailer for “Lies of P: Overture”. The short clip in the post offers a detailed glimpse of a female character from the upcoming expansion, who is masked and armed with a sword. This expansion will reportedly unfold a story that precedes the events of the main game. Excited fans can catch this event live on YouTube, which starts at 10 AM PST. The ID@Xbox Showcase is also anticipated to disclose new information about other projects developed by Xbox’s independent creators.
