As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of nostalgia for the original Life is Strange, I find myself entangled once more in the intricate web of secrets and mysteries that Caledon University seems to weave so effortlessly in Double Exposure. The enigma surrounding Safi’s murder has grown denser, with Lucas, the elusive literature professor, holding a crucial piece of the puzzle.
In the third chapter of “Life is Strange: Double Exposure,” the enigma surrounding Safi’s murder becomes even more tangled, and it’s no surprise given it’s a Life is Strange game. I, being a gamer, find myself in the midst of characters who are keeping their cards close to their chests. One such individual is Lucas, a Literature Professor at Caledon, and I sense he’s got some crucial details that Max needs to crack this case wide open.
After spending some time chasing after Gwen, Vinh, and various dimensions, Max discovers that Lucas might hold crucial information regarding a student who was acquainted with Safi. Yet, obtaining this knowledge won’t be simple, even when confronting him directly. Therefore, more dimension jumping and detective work will be necessary.

How To Find Information On Maya In Double Exposure
Maya Okada, a student from Caledon and Safi’s friend, sadly passed away before Max reached university. However, it appears that Maya might be connected to the mysterious events occurring on campus, so it’s Max’s job to uncover the truth. To find directions for speaking with Lucas, Max needs to converse with Gwen, Vinh, and Yasmin as they have information about this matter.
The initial conversation with Lucas will be informed by the choices you made previously (whether you decided to warn Safi about the restraining order), but the outcome will be the same. Once the conversation ends, he won’t have been much help, and Max will need to search his office.
Initially, as he’s located within his office in the Realm of Life, your first step should be to find the closest Teleportation Spot and move to the Realm of Death. Once there, return to his office, which will be empty all day. There are several items around here that you can examine for some insights from Max and additional information about Lucas. Before proceeding further, take a look inside the cabinet beneath the painting.
Upon examination of the files contained within, you’ll discover evidence showing that Safi, Vinh, and Maya were all pupils who learned under Lucas. Additionally, you’ll notice that Lucas had a special connection with Maya – a fact that Max will remark might mirror the situation involving Mr. Jefferson at Blackwell Academy, as hinted in the initial ‘Life is Strange’.
After you’ve completed your tasks, make your way to Lucas’ desk where you’ll find a family photo resting next to his computer. Take a close look at the photograph, rotate it until you can see the backside where a key has been attached with tape. Pick up this key and then move towards the golden typewriter that resides between the bookcases on the other side of the room. The key unlocks a concealed compartment in the typewriter, revealing for Max a secret manuscript penned by Maya.
Although it seems impossible given the circumstances, she’ll still identify the writing right away. Max will then search for Lucas’ book to verify his suspicion that he plagiarized Maya’s ideas for personal advantage. Comparing the two manuscripts side by side concludes this chapter in Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
