Completing The Quest
While exploring the oceans and cityscapes of Hawaii within “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,” you may encounter peculiar individuals whose backstories could spark curiosity in Majima.
The amusing sidequests are the heart and soul of the Yakuza world – a refreshing change from the intense criminal drama happening all around, and Pirate Yakuza offers plenty of these.
The fun little adventures make the Yakuza life feel real – it’s nice to have a break from the serious crime stuff, and Pirate Yakuza has tons of these distractions.
At some point during the game, one of your team members may request your assistance, starting the side-quest known as “When You Wish Upon Some Balls”. Here, I’ll walk you through the spots where each golden orb is hidden.
Warning: Minor Story Spoilers Ahead!
How To Start The Quest

Immediately following the conclusion of Chapter 2 and the beginning of Chapter 3, one of your comrades from the OG, Captain Beef, will come up to you at the Revolve bar and request a favor.
Through your chat with Beef, you’ll learn about Shen, a mysterious figure rumored to be extremely influential. If someone manages to gather seven specific items for him, Shen is said to have the power to fulfill any wish. Once you engage in conversation with Beef, Shen himself will reach out to you via text, sharing details on where to locate his precious orbs.
Without making it sound like a blatant reference to Dragon Ball (and throwing in a touch of humor), you’ll embark on a quest to find the shimmering golden orbs. These mysterious eggs are concealed not just anywhere, but across the tropical paradise of Hawaii and the underwater city of Madlantis.
Golden Ball Locations

Shen provides you with a clue to help you identify the position of each Golden Ball. If by now, you’ve explored Honolulu sufficiently, then some of these clues may resonate with your previous experiences.
Initially, the Golden Balls may not be immediately noticeable, but don’t worry! Noah can provide some assistance by revealing that there’s a hidden secret nearby. You can locate the Golden Balls by using your Chain Hook, which has the ability to illuminate important objects with a blue radiance.
The Chain Hook is acquired very early on in Chapter 2.
Chinese Medicine Shop
The initial ball can be found at the herbal medicine store called Wan Shang Tong, situated along Pearl Avenue, in the heart of Chinatown, Honolulu.
To locate the pharmacy, exit the Xiong Asian Market from Lotus Street entrance, then take a right turn.
Inside the shop, you’ll notice a ball positioned on a human body diagram, specifically near the character selling items. Grab it using your Grapple Hook.
Sushi Restaurant
This is easy to figure out, as there is only one sushi restaurant in Honolulu.
In the area known as “Little Japan,” the upcoming Ball is situated at the establishment called Shinobi Sushi. To get there from the taxi stand near the shrine on Fuji Street, simply walk around the shrine, continue past Kamulop, and take a right onto Sakura Street. Right away, you’ll spot Shinobi Sushi.
The ball is on the crotch of the ninja right above the front door of the sushi restaurant.
Seaside Avenue Pool
In harder-to-reach locations, those shiny spheres reside, making the Chain Hook even more valuable for retrieval purposes.
This ball can be found at the Seaside Sanctuary Hotel, which is situated where Seaside Avenue meets Hula Avenue, in the East Waikiki area.
Starting from the taxi station situated on Hula Avenue, make a u-turn and proceed towards Seaside Avenue. After passing under the hotel sign, keep walking straight until you reach a wall that borders a swimming pool.
Relaxing on a beach lounger, there’s a man casually holding a radiant orb near his waist. Aim your grappling hook at the wall’s opening and swiftly snatch the third sphere from his vicinity.
Pawn Shop Masked Doll
The next ball is a little more elusive, as there are several pawn shops scattered across Honolulu.
You’re seeking the Treasure Select Pawn shop, which is located on Hula Avenue in East Waikiki. If you’ve been following the sequence, you should turn back from Seaside Avenue and rejoin Hula Avenue. Otherwise, your destination is Julie’s Gearworks Main Store.
Directly adjacent to Julie Gearworks lies Treasure Select Pawn. In the store, there’s a wrestler-style mannequin, and a golden orb is placed conspicuously over its waist area.
Man Chasing Sickos
In Honolulu, you can grab the final ball by buying it from Sicko Snap’s Kuroki, who can be found at the tram station on Aloha Street, located in the eastern part of Waikiki.
Freak On Top Of Dunghill

Now, we’re embarking on our journey towards Madlantis. It’s not too difficult to locate as it’s close to the Dunghill Bar.
Heading from the bustling Goromaru, veer left towards the Dunghill Bar. Upon reaching the entrance, cast your eyes skyward to spot a handy hook. Swing onto it and voila! You’ve reached the rooftop. Alternatively, you can opt for the straightforward route by ascending the staircase nestled in the corner.
The individual in question is a man dressed in leather, who appears suspicious and seems to be loitering precariously atop a wall’s edge near Dunghill’s rooftop. Retrieve the gold ornament from his vicinity, and we can progress towards the last ball.
Sweaty Man Near The Colosseum

The final ball is near the Madlantis Colosseum, but with many sweaty men in the area, who does the ball belong to?)
From the Goromaru, head right towards the Colosseum. You’ll pass a reception area and come across two shacks close by on the path leading to the Queen’s Castle. There, you’ll notice two men having a heated argument. The ball is with the man on your right.
Completing The Quest

Now that you have gathered all seven Golden Balls, Shen Ron invites you to connect with him at the Pier located on Harbor Street within the Cultural District. This pier is situated on the western edge of the map.
Initiate discussion with Shen, and he will offer you a wish in return. Choose an option during the dialogue, since he’ll explain that he can’t fulfill the extravagant wishes Majima requests. Instead, he rewards you with 10,000 for your successful effort.
Later on, he’ll confess that he’s tired of his luxurious lifestyle and wants to switch to the Goro Pirates. Despite being a low-ranking member with poor stats, he still offers some value to the team, so there’s a benefit for you both.
