In the initial stages of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, the story centers around Majima as he prepares and sets sail on an independent voyage across the vast oceans.

Once you acquire your own ship complete with enhancements, and start working alongside your lively band of Goro Pirates as crewmates, it won’t be long until you realize that effectively handling your team is essential for staying afloat on the open waters.

In Goromaru’s battle strategy, each crew member serves as a vital component, strengthening both its offensive and defensive capabilities at sea. The more they are advanced or upgraded, the more robust their individual attributes become, consequently enhancing the overall strength of your ship during naval battles.

Indeed, my discussion intends to share insights on acquiring experience for your team members. Let’s delve into the most effective farming techniques together.

Gifting Items & Souvenirs

To begin, an effective method for awarding your team members with portions of experience points to level up is by giving them a selection of presents and mementos while they’re aboard the Goromaru.

In Hawaii, you’ll discover a wide variety of gifts available in both specialized shops and convenient stores. These range from packets of dried fruits to artwork, as well as an array of chocolate boxes.

To be honest, this method isn’t the most efficient one, as the rewards from these presents are at their maximum about 500 to 700 EXP points. This would be considered an average amount.

At the lighthouse outposts situated over the sea, you’ll find merchants who offer various gift items for purchase. Since these items have a limited inventory, it’s wise to store some of them away, like bouquets.

Store your presents inside a storage container, then head beneath the Goromaru’s deck to restart the game world. This action will refresh the inventory of the lighthouse merchant, allowing you to continue buying these gifts.

Preparing Feasts

Among the latest features introduced in the game, players now have the exciting opportunity to prepare a variety of meals and dishes by gathering diverse ingredients scattered throughout the virtual world.

You could prepare certain distinctive meals, like the Pirate Feast for Ten, to set up a grand meal for your team within the captain’s cabin. Additionally, there are some dishes that can boost their spirits, thereby helping them reclaim their gaming skills.

Just as with the selection of gifts, you can also purchase various cooking ingredients from the mentioned lighthouse vendors, including fish and insects.

These meals offer a substantial crew member experience, however, I highly suggest opting for them when you aim to rapidly advance less experienced crew members.

At these festive occasions, upper-echelon team members remain unaffected, making it an ideal opportunity to train and elevate several fresh recruits at once.

The Madlantis Coliseum

Did you know? The most effective method for enhancing your pirate crew’s expertise in the world of Pirate Yakuza lies within the confines of the Madlantis Coliseum.

You might be surprised to learn that the ideal approach to building up your pirate team’s skills in the realm of Pirate Yakuza is by participating in battles at the Madlantis Coliseum.

To clarify, I’m referring to the Shooter’s Garden battle within the Madlantis Mania segment. This encounter consists of two rounds, and with an effective squad at your disposal, you can typically conquer it in approximately 40 seconds for optimal results.

In my experiments, many of my level 10 team members quickly advanced by 5 to 7 levels, which was ideal for optimizing most of them, given that we’ve approximately earned 4500 experience points.

One potential rephrasing could be: While initially requiring a robust team for farming, it becomes easier over time as levels accumulate consistently after a few rounds.

Additionally, consider investing gifts in some of your preferred crew members when they reach the min-max levels. This will help you reach their maximum level. However, it’s your decision, as they’ll still earn experience even if they’re not gifted, as long as they’re part of your active team.
