The quest “Digging Up Dirt” in Arc Raiders is available later in the game. Its main goal – finding a hidden supply drop – can be tricky. The location isn’t marked on the map, and even when you find the right building, getting inside presents another challenge. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to help you complete the quest in Arc Raiders.

Digging Up Dirt Quest in Arc Raiders

To start this quest, players need to load the Buried City map. While normal mode is recommended, you can choose Night Raid if it’s available and you want to collect extra resources and loot while completing the quest.

Be mindful of how often you use your flashlight. Enemy raiders can see it easily and will quickly incapacitate you.

When you start the game, go to the Santa Maria Houses – that’s where this quest begins. Once you’re there, look for a hidden package, called a dead drop, somewhere in the courtyard.

The tricky part is that the house is positioned just above the space between the “Maria” and “Houses” markers on the map. You can’t enter from the ground floor because all the doors are locked from the inside. If you arrive late, someone might have already opened them, but if you’re the first one here, you’ll need to find a different way in.

Enter the nearby house and climb the stairs to the top floor. You’ll find a zipline that leads to the roof. Open the rooftop door and climb onto the roof, then cross over to the building where your target is located. Look for another open rooftop door and drop down inside. Continue forward to find the dead drop in the sandy courtyard. Interact with the dead drop to complete the objective, and you can then extract.

Once you return and turn in the quest, you will get these rewards:
