My old streaming light, a Logitech Litra, was starting to fail after years of use, so I began searching for a replacement. I soon discovered Logitech had released a significantly upgraded model – the LITRA BEAM LX. It’s a major improvement, combining a vibrant RGB light bar with a powerful, high-quality key light.
I’ve been using the LITRA BEAM LX as my main light for a while now, and it’s been fantastic – easily the most effective key light I’ve ever tried. It’s definitely an investment, and it needs to be plugged into a wall outlet plus a USB-C connection, but if you have the space and power access, it’s a game-changer for any stream or video setup.
Is the LITRA BEAM LX Worth $129?
The LITRA BEAM LX is a useful, well-designed, and visually appealing key light that has significantly improved my setup. While the original LITRA was a simple panel light with limited options, the BEAM LX offers much more advanced features and capabilities.
This key light features lighting on both sides and uses Logitech’s LIGHTSYNC RGB technology, which lets you fully customize the colors through the G Hub app. It adds a vibrant touch of color to any setup.
The LITRA BEAM LX is a flexible light that can be used standing up or lying down, even as a vertical column. While its base is quite solid and takes up some desk space, it’s not overly bulky. It’s also fairly heavy at around 1.5 kg, so be sure to place it on a stable surface where it won’t be easily knocked over.
It’s true, lights can seem simple, but if you’re looking for a versatile and powerful key light that you can control remotely, is easy to set up, and delivers impressive results, the LITRA BEAM LX is worth considering.
This is my go-to setup for gaming and streaming, and right now I’ve got the RGB bar customized to match the colors from ARC Raiders. The key light really helps make my streams of that game look great. Honestly, I think having two of these LITRA BEAM LX lights would be even better – I’m picturing one on each side of my monitor to completely get rid of any shadows on my face. That would be perfect!
