The “Elbaf” storyline in “One Piece” series has introduced many thrilling combatants so far, including the Holy Knights who’ve made their entrance. However, it’s important to remember that the Holy Knights aren’t the only powerful fighters residing within this land. In fact, there are numerous legendary warriors still to be discovered, such as Scopper Gaban, the right-hand man of the late Pirate King, and Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf. This arc is brimming with intriguing characters that fans can eagerly anticipate.
Without a doubt, Loki possesses immense power, and it’s clear that we’ve only caught a glimpse of what he can do. Intriguingly, Oda has yet to unveil Loki’s Devil Fruit ability in One Piece, but it’s safe to assume we’ll witness his powers soon. It’s also worth noting that Oda has hinted at Loki’s abilities, and fans may already be aware of the terrifying power he yields, a force potent enough to endanger not just Elbaf, but the entire world as well.
Loki’s Portrayal In Elbaf So Far

- Loki Is The Accursed Prince
- He Can Destroy The Whole World
It’s clear as day that Loki possesses immense power, a fact that fans picked up on right from the start of Elbaf, when he made his debut in the story. As soon as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper managed to escape from Road’s Diorama, fans sensed that a formidable adversary was lurking in the Underworld. Eager to investigate, Luffy approached him and was astounded by Loki’s might. Remarkably, even chained with Sea Prism stone, Loki’s presence radiated such power that Luffy could feel it from afar. Besides Luffy, the Giants spoke frequently about Loki as a colossal threat. According to them, Loki is a monster capable of not only destroying Elbaf but potentially the entire world.
I am the Sun God who will destroy the whole world. — Loki
The Giants hold deep contempt for Loki due to numerous mishaps he’s orchestrated throughout the years, particularly for two reasons: one, for assassinating King Harald, a monarch renowned across the land; and two, for seizing the Sacred Fruit of the Royal Line and consuming it. This act gave Loki immense power, to the point where he arrogantly declared himself a Sun Deity destined to annihilate the world. As per the Giants, Loki possesses the might to carry out this prophecy.

14 years past, Loki, in his mischievous ways, ended King Harald’s life and consumed his Devil Fruit. Subsequently, he embarked on a journey to the vast ocean, where he would later become notorious. Remarkably, without a crew, Loki managed to amass a staggering 2.6 billion berries bounty. He persistently thorned the Government until six years ago, when Shanks, with an act of heroism, dethroned him, earning himself the exalted title of Yonko.
As Scopper Gaban states, Loki possesses power capable of annihilating Elbaf and effects that ripple far beyond. Prior to Shanks, no one in Elbaf could restrain Loki, indicating his power is comparable to the Yonko of the One Piece universe. Given Loki’s might, it comes as little surprise that even a formidable figure like Luffy may not be powerful enough to defeat him, and his powers are on an entirely different level. It should also be noted that while many of Loki’s powers remain hidden, there are some hints that creator Oda may have already shown us.
Loki’s Two Most Powerful Abilities — Fire And Lightning
Fire And Lightning Are Elbaf’s Two Biggest Weaknesses
On numerous occasions, Loki has been referred to as the adversary of Elbaf. He’s also known as the individual capable of causing destruction not only in Elbaf but possibly the entire world. Loki possesses a formidable power that could potentially annihilate nations, and specifically, here, Elbaf is concerned. Recently, Oda has shared with fans what weakness Elbaf is most vulnerable to, and while it might seem unrelated to Loki, there certainly could be a connection. After witnessing the remnants of what used to be Haugen Village, Franky was left puzzled and pondered about the events that transpired there. Ripley clarified that a limb from the Adam Tree was severed long ago when lightning struck, causing widespread fires.
Because a portion of the Adam Tree was aged and parched, it sparked fires that proved impossible to put out. It was then that Ripley made it plain that for Elbaf, fire and lightning are its most significant vulnerabilities. To clarify, when Ripley spoke of Elbaf, they were not implying Loki possesses these powers, but rather suggesting that Elbaf as a whole is susceptible to them. However, if we look at this in conjunction with the fact that Loki is often referred to as Elbaf’s greatest adversary, it seems possible that Oda intentionally used this detail to underscore Loki’s two abilities – fire and lightning.
You can say that fire and lightning are Elbaf’s two biggest weaknesses. — Ripley
In chapter 1141 of One Piece, viewers witnessed Loki partially liberated from his shackles, although one ankle chain remains. Consequently, he can’t utilize his Devil Fruit abilities yet. Nonetheless, Loki is mobile for the time being. Yet, for now, attention primarily centers on his hammer—Ragnir.
It’s evident that the character Ragnir resembles Mjolnir, Thor’s legendary hammer in Norse mythology. In various portrayals, this hammer summons lightning, and given Oda’s creative style, it wouldn’t be surprising if he utilized it similarly. Notably, Ragnir translates to “Iron Thunder,” hinting at a connection.
Interestingly, Loki has the ability to summon lightning using Ragnir, granting him the power of lightning, making him a formidable adversary for Elbaf due to its vulnerability to lightning attacks. Since he already possesses one power that targets Elbaf’s weakness, it raises questions about whether he also wields the other one. Indeed, it seems quite plausible. While Loki’s lightning comes from Ragnir, it’s reasonable to assume that fire could stem from his Devil Fruit.
What Devil Fruit Does Loki Have?
Loki’s Devil Fruit Could Have Immense Firepower
Regarding the most powerful Fire Devil Fruit, the Mera Mera no Mi takes the crown. But, unfortunately for Loki, this particular fruit is not available to him since it’s already being used by someone else – Sabo, at present. Consequently, Loki cannot acquire a pure fire Devil Fruit.
In simpler terms, Loki could obtain a special Devil Fruit that allows him to create intense fire, similar to dragons in mythology. While Eastern dragons don’t typically have this ability, Western dragons do, especially Nidhogg. Alternatively, he might possess the Jormungandr fruit or the Lindwurm fruit, both of which are known for their fire-breathing capabilities.
