Lord of Mysteries Fans Believe It Is Better Than Solo Leveling & Frieren

This post contains spoilers for Lord of Mysteries.

It’s shaping up to be an exceptional year for anime enthusiasts, with the debut of Season 2 of “Solo Leveling” causing quite a stir. Despite having ended, fans are still buzzing about it, demonstrating its immense popularity.

Alongside Solo Leveling, fans were also treated to the latest season of The Apothecary Diaries, Takopi’s Original Sin, One Piece, Fire Force, and numerous other titles. The upcoming months will bring even more exciting releases, making the choice between them all the more challenging. However, one fanbase is particularly confident that their favorite show has the best chances to come out on top in this fierce competition.

Lord of Mysteries Has Been A Revelation

Lord of Mysteries Has Excellent Animation And A Riveting Story

  • Lord of Mysteries is one of the biggest names from Summer 2025
  • It can overtake Solo Leveling and Frieren

The animated series “Lord of Mysteries” is derived from a web novel penned by Cuttlefish. Those who had previously read the novel anticipated that the “Lord of Mysteries” animation would be exceptional and cause a stir within the anime community, and indeed it did. The show received an outpouring of favorable feedback, which in turn boosted its popularity.

The enigmatic series “Lord of Mysteries” is slated for a total of 13 installments, with just five having been unveiled thus far. While some may argue that it’s premature to determine if the show lives up to its praise, recent episodes suggest that the anticipation surrounding it is well-founded.

Titled “Mysteries’ Master,” this captivating anime is steeped in numerous enigmas. Despite five episodes already being aired, there are still countless puzzles left unsolved. Here’s hoping that as the narrative unfolds, these mysteries will gradually be solved.

The “Mystery Lord” isn’t flawless; there are certain aspects that could use enhancement in the anime version. For one, the fast-paced narrative has left some viewers feeling frustrated. This pace makes it challenging for viewers to grasp the power system and recall the names of newly introduced characters.

Another issue is the limited availability of dubs. Given that many fans prefer Japanese audio when watching anime, the absence of this option in “Mystery Lord” is a problem. Currently, it can only be watched with Chinese dialogue, and there’s no English dub version available, which further deters viewers.

I hope that these concerns will be taken into account by those responsible for the series, aiming to provide a more satisfying experience for the fans in the future.

Lord of Mysteries Can Be Better Than Solo Leveling And Frieren

With its intriguing premise, Lord of Mysteries shows great promise for the Anime of the Year title, but only if the quality of each episode remains steady. To stand out, it’s crucial that the episodes blend both story and action effectively. Overemphasizing action would make it too similar to Solo Leveling, which boasts superior fight scenes. Therefore, Lord of Mysteries should aim for a harmonious balance between these elements.

Although Solo Leveling might find Frieren overthrowingly impressive, Frieren presents a significantly tougher competition. This is evident as Frieren currently tops the charts on MyAnimeList, demonstrating its popularity among viewers. Previously mentioned, Lord of Mysteries must maintain consistency and iron out any flaws if it aims to outperform and claim the top award.

Frieren Season 2 Will Be A Major Threat

Frieren Season 2 Will Premiere In January 2026

In my perspective as an avid viewer, I’m thrilled to announce that the second season of Frieren is set to debut in January 2026. Following a phenomenal first season, its return was inevitable. The anime community widely acknowledges Frieren as the pinnacle of anime production, a testament to its absence of notable flaws.

For the creators of “Frieren” Season 2, the expectation is high due to the impressive debut of the first season. This means they’ll need to surpass themselves to meet these expectations. Fortunately, Madhouse has a strong track record of producing excellent anime adaptations, making the likelihood of failure relatively low. If they can live up to this potential, “Frieren” Season 2 might be in a prime position to sweep all major awards.
