Lords of the Fallen was released in 2023 as a fresh start for the original game from 2014. It quickly became a popular title, proving to be a strong addition to the many challenging ‘Soulslike’ games that are currently popular.
CI Games showed off Lords of the Fallen II at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, announcing it will come out sometime in 2026. But before that, they’re adding one last big update to the original Lords of the Fallen (released in 2023), with plenty of new content for players.
Lords of the Fallen is Still Standing
CI Games surprised fans by announcing one last update for Lords of the Fallen, their challenging action RPG released in 2023, known for its unique world and exciting battles.
The final update for Lords of the Fallen, called ‘Master of Fate’, came out in April 2024. After that, the development team shifted its focus to Lords of the Fallen II, which was announced about a year and a half later.
In April 2025, ‘Lords of the Fallen 2.0’ launched, bringing major improvements like a ‘Friend Pass’ system, new cooperative challenges, and enhanced multiplayer. However, it appears the developers aren’t quite finished, as another update is already planned for the game.
CI Games has announced the release of Lords of the Fallen ‘2.5’, which includes everything listed below.
