Lost Ark Community Lead Teases What's Next After the Arkesia Ignited Update

As a seasoned adventurer of Arkesia, I can’t help but feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins with the latest update, Arkesia Ignited. The storyline has taken a dramatic turn, and the war against Kazeros is finally underway in North Kurzan. The fear and despair that permeate this land are palpable, as if the very air itself carries the weight of our impending doom.

Originating from South Korean studio Smilegate and jointly published by Amazon, the massively multiplayer online (MMO) game known as Lost Ark has made significant strides since its global debut. With the Arkesia Ignited update, the MMO has scaled new peaks in narrative and playability, with its first act nearing its dramatic conclusion.

In an interview with Game Rant, Amazon’s community leader for Lost Ark, Roxanne Sabo, talked about how the game’s initial conflicts culminate in the update Arkesia Ignited, and hinted that the tale of Arkesia has much more to unfold.

Lost Ark Erupts in North Kurzan

As the tale of Lost Ark‘s initial chapter nears its finale, it’s important to note that Arkesia Ignited does not mark the end of the story, as emphasized by Sabo. The characters in Lost Ark have been tirelessly working to prevent the return of Kazeros, the demon who once restored order in Petrania after vanquishing the God of Chaos Igharam. Azena and Shandi previously halted that resurrection; however, the current heroes may not succeed in doing so. This is a viewpoint held by Armen, who suggests that allowing Kazeros to rise again is the only way to permanently stop him. However, this comes with significant risks, according to Sabo. This, he contends, is where the true battle truly commences.

Previously vanquished Legion Commanders are now regrouping and pose a serious threat to the tranquility of Arkesia. Heroes and the United Forces must find a means to thwart Kazeros and prevent Arkesia from meeting its demise! The current situation in Arkesia is critical, and we’re eager for players to live through this thrilling event… The narrative unfolds in North Kurzan, marking the beginning of the all-out conflict against Kazeros. The rapidly shifting tide of war demands that adventurers make significant, consequential decisions.

The conflict originates from the Antares volcano in the northern part of Kurzan, which encloses Kazeros. Sabo likens the north of Kurzan to its southern regions. This desolate area has been the site of ongoing battles between the Assar Delains and the Vinus Delains, and is suffused with the malevolence of Kazeros. She noted that as the seal is nearing its breaking point after 500 years, the creators at Smilegate aimed to convey a sense of fear and desolation across North Kurzan, a feeling shared by all life forms in the region.

In that location is where the sequel to the extended saga of Lost Ark is set, paving the way for an exciting journey leading to the end of chapter one.

Absolutely, there are many more tales to unfold in our fight against Kazeros, and it raises curiosity about how this saga will conclude. While Sabo remains mysterious about the direction of the next phase, the journey beyond Kazeros promises to be intriguing. As he mentioned himself, the future of our story is something we’ll all be eager to discover.

As a devoted gamer of Lost Ark, I’ve got to keep you all in the loop – the future storyline is being tightly held under wraps! For now, I can’t spill any beans, but rest assured that updates will be dropping on our social media channels, Amazon Games website, and directly within the game itself.

Absolutely, there are thrilling surprises coming up this year, along with special events for the upcoming anniversary of Lost Ark in early 2025. For now, players can delve into the Arkesia Ignited update and anticipate a fresh roadmap by the end of the year.
