Lost Soul Aside Gets Surprise Demo, Launches Tomorrow

Surprisingly, the action RPG Lost Soul Aside is going to have a demo available for players as soon as its launch on the following day. This highly anticipated title from PlayStation’s lineup this year has been largely under wraps in terms of promotions. However, it seems we now have more information to work with than ever before.

In Lost Soul Aside’s narrative, we follow Kaser – an orphaned character who journeys across multiple worlds and dimensions, accompanied by the enigmatic Arena. This journey is primarily taken to rescue his sister. The game appears to emulate the style of action-RPGs, reminiscent of Final Fantasy, with its creation inspired by Yang Bing’s admiration for that series. As anticipation builds around the title, fans can finally get a glimpse on its launch day.

The demo for Lost Soul Aside will be available at the same time as the complete game, allowing players to experience its exciting combat. However, this demo only features two bosses (Rose Queen and Holy Knight Commander Victor), making it a relatively short preview. Additionally, progress from the demo won’t transfer over to the full version of the game, meaning you’ll need to fight these bosses again if you want to continue where you left off in the demo. Despite its brevity, it offers an opportunity to try out the game before purchasing, especially for those who haven’t pre-ordered yet.

The demo is exclusively available for PlayStation 5 at the moment, and we don’t have any information yet about whether PC users will also get access to it. As of now, there’s no sign of the demo being released on Steam. Users in select regions like Australia, Japan, and New Zealand can already download and play the demo. For everyone else, the demo will be available starting August 29th, but release times may differ depending on your location.

For over a decade, Lost Soul Aside has undergone numerous changes. Initially a solo project driven by passion from Yang Bing, it caught PlayStation’s attention and moved into full development. Operating under the studio name UltiZero Games, this small team evolved the Final Fantasy XV-inspired game into an original intellectual property we now recognize as Lost Soul Aside.
